The Tamer and Birthday Boy have both received some pretty substantial revamps - I would greatly appreciate hearing your thoughts on the changes if you have a chance to play them.

Birthday Boy definitely scales with the heroes you put him with - the better the gifts the better he plays. So anything that gives him extra plays is always a good thing. Tachyon is great for that cause she has both goggles and pushing the limits to give to Birthday Boy!

It JUST occurred to me that my biggest complaint about Birthday Boy would have been totally negated if I'd just paired him with Tachyon and gave him her goggles or something!

Tamer is tricky. I don't think there are currently enough ways to bring out Lions and the Lions are too fragile right now. Additionally, many of his cards rely upon Lions being out, which doesn't really happen too much currently.

If you play another game with them, I recommend adding a pure damage dealer alongside them as that should help a bit.

Thanks for the feedback! Note that all of these decks are very much in playtesting form.Overall, they are definitely coming from a place of weaker than normal and tune up rather than too strong and tune down.

I agree about Birthday Boy. He doesn't have many particularly good cards. He can become effective and can do some neat shenanigans if your only gameplan is to give him gifts but that becomes really hard to sustain, and you are sacrificing everyone else. I find that unless you get Gift Certificate at the very beginning of the game, it doesn't do great.

I'm glad you liked Lore! I think Lore has some really neat utility cards. She has some effects that in the right team can absolutely destroy villains. I'll work on bolstering the damage, maybe more based on the number of stories in play.

Tried these three against Tiamat. It was an absolute smackdown. Birthday Boy really doesn't have any particularly good options. He can TAKE some good options from OTHERS, but the problem with this is he has no way to immediately play the things he snatches. Final grade: Poor
Lore had some neat options. If things had gone better, she might have been able to pull off something interesting. As it stands, she provided Environment insurance and synchronized well enough with the Tamer. Alas, none of these options were enough. Her damage was way too low, and her support was just "okay".
Tamer struggled pretty badly. This is largely because the villain kept two-shotting her lions.
