Kept throwing this error:
Edit: It started eating on its own, feeding fixed the manual absorb ability as well.
Edit: Fixed in next update.
one: gammas/alphas break the ui
second: metroid queens wont spawn in dev mode
third: metroids despawn after some time has pasted
forth: mutations/evolutions wont occur
thank me for finding these bugs please take your time to fix them thanks ok bie.
Thank you for your input, but Need a bit more context on most of these if they are to be fixed. Queens don't spawn in dev mode is currently intended as they are broken when spawned in, and just went under a major overhaul. The rest I need context for.
As for evolutions not occurring, what exactly happened? Each metroid is supposed to reach a certain age age before evolving.
whenever i spawn a gamma or a alpha it will turn invisible and i cant see the ui ill send a screenshot of it later today
whenever i spawn i metroid larva it just diapers in a couple of days
that's the context you'll need and idk how to send screenshots in steam so it wont be a potability ok bie
As for a metroid larva leaving in a couple days... do you tame it? Does it have live food it can attach to? If there are no live prey that are suitable, a wild one will leave.
a:its not tamed
b:it has food hare to be persisted
c:its contained in a room without a roof
is that the requirements for it to stay
I'm not sure I understand. Are these bugs, or suggestions? I'm going to assume the latter.
A: Larva can be tamed; it's one of two stages that allow it. Further stages don't, and having only the bantee metroid able to be tamed sounds too restrictive for players at the moment. Maybe this will change later, when more metroids are within the mod.
B: Food doesn't persist. They feed in canon, so they feed in the mod.
C: That's the restriciton with flying animals. They can move arround terrain freely but cannot actually bypass walls. That would be a ton of coding, and be very bad on performance when it comes to pathfinding. This is also the reason why just about every other mod doesn't have flying animals that passively fly.
Metroids stay around as long as there is a food source. Once no food source is around for a wild metroid, they leave. And a tmaed one will berserk against the colony if no food source is around. You can use a pylon or a prisoner to make sure they have easy, reliable access.
There you go!
it was bleeding to death, reached 0 seconds, and then the wounds began healing. also i couldnt get a colonist to hunt them, as they do the job but don't kill it. and attacking it doesn't work either.
