For now, the newly released "Rimtroid: Lite" is the only current Rimtroid mod for 1.4:

Tomorrow and over the weekend I'll be putting much time into the "Lite" version. It won't have most of the buildings, genetic options, and likely the Metroid faction, but it'll at least give you metroids to play around with. Hopefully it'll be ready to release by the time the weekend is over.
Also take your time, it seems a lot of things got messed up with the dlc and the newer patches too.
A "lite" version will be coming once I can finish the xml, which is meant to be used for situations like this. Major C# coding that Lite required just got finished a couple days ago, so I'll let you know when that is out. you can check the Discord to see updates when they come out.
After that, Pirates may come, though there are also other aspects that may be focused on first. You can check/ask in the Discord for information on exactly what is being worked on.

Due to the massive amount of work being put in, and the QA needed to sure that this mod will function flawlessly in 1.3, both the porting and the next update may take some time.

How I did fix it though, was to either add someone/something to the caravan, or remove someone. That "refreshes" the order, for lack of a better term. Try that if this happens again.
I'm looking into another way to get a Queen, but considering how powerful it currently is, and how much powerful it will be later, it will be difficult. The Queen is intended as an endgame metroid.
Training them works the same as any other animal; it comes down to pawn skill, not the sphere amount. Bantee Metroid and Metroid Larva wildness are 70% and 80%, respectively; anything above that cannot be tamed unless you enable it in mod settings, which then puts their wildness at 99%.
I'd suggest you use someone with 12+ Animal skill, use the taming inspiration when you can, and tame Bantees when they appear.
But yeah early game can be a issue with them, more so if you're doing a close to vanilla run or just using those real world guns mods. The uscm mod that adds in the xenomorphs has a timer so that they only start to show up after 60 days has past, maybe you could add something like that to solve some issues with the metroids spawning early game?

Compatibility between these mods will only attract more user attention.
Or maybe someone else will create a separate patch to combine your mod and CE.
In any case, thank you for such creativity and hard work, mods with special mechanics are unfortunately very few,but they are the best)
The next mod is either going to be a Ridley storyteller, or beam/armor addition. Something small that comes out between the really big mods. I'll be putting out updates on the Discord server, which will be the best place if you plan to follow up on the series.
