Is it possible to organise the base in any way with one way tubes/sorters?
I've got all sorts of items all over the place, so I thought can you do anything with the sorters, A bit like an inventory manager, without using Isy's inventory manager?

I tried having a components container, with a 1 way whitelisted sorter going in, and a free flow going out, so in theory, all components would get sucked in, and then anything wanting an item could get it freely. But this resulted in a loop, with the sorter pulling stuff from its own container.

What's a good use scenario for the sorters?

Is it best to just give up and use Isy's Inventory manager?

You can turn sorters manually on and off, so you would have to press a cleanup button on your own. You can use a script to write your own sorter (Easy Commands is rather new and very noob friendly) or stick with Isys.

I tried setting up a sorted base in vanilla without script and sorters only, it was a major pain.

Thanks, I might take a look at easy commands... I'm glad it's not just me then :-)
