Aluminum Plates To Get Controller?
Hello,

So I am at a lost, I require a method of locating bauxite in order to get the materials to create a way to actually control a craft to find.... bauxite. I am in a loop of being unable to do anything, I cannot create a control seat since I lack aluminum plates and the metal detector I have on base is only detecting three ores all of which aren't bauxite. What is the solution to this or do I have a bug that makes control seats/cockpits require aluminum plates when they aren't supposed to?

What's your start, moonbase? I went with the earth drop pod - the drop pod has a seat which can be recycled, I don't know what's inside of the base. Is there nothing to (temp) recycle for you?

It was mars start, nothing inside of the drop pod gave aluminum plates to my knowledge. All the ores I needed were indeed located on the planet- but I needed to walk over 12km to even find a small rock of bauxite. And then I needed all sorts of materials just to make the factories needed for display panels, plastic, etc to make a controller- basically had to finish the game to make a single seat.

The "Control Seat Small" only needs Basic Computers, Copper Wire, Construction Components, and Steel Plates to build.
Alternatively, salvaging NPC grids to get the initial 1-5 parts of a type you can't produce yet (or at least the resources from them, if you play with something like AwwScrap) is a valid option to progress.

Oh yeah I forgot, the small seat indeed got balanced down to lower components! You can get a rover with steel wheels rather early on. It won't be really good, but it is enough to drive around a cheap detector and a container.

Thanks for the help, I think I might've had a mod that override it- but honestly I just uninstalled this mod. Too much work for me haha
