Regional Immersion and Cultural Enrichment (RICE)
Music track titles
It has become impossible to play the game without this mod for me. And it is not because of the mechanics and flavor (which are pretty good but the next reason is even better) but because this mod greatly improves the music. Can we have a list of tracks added by this mod?

And great work author. Thanks for a very fun mod :)

Thanks! And sorry for the late response, I did not see this here until now.

In case you're looking for it, in my music code, I keep a list of the sources for my music, it's located in my mod's music folder. If you don't know where to find that, you can view it on GitHub here too: https://github.com/cybrxkhan/RICE-for-CK3/tree/master/RICE/music

Just look at the text files, the lists are at the top.

Thanks a lot. I somehow got some of these tracks by listening to them carefully, but many of them are in languages I don't know so this helps greatly.

Is it possible to add more authentic music or make a separate sub mod?
cybrxkhan  [udvikler] 12. jan. 2023 kl. 12:19
I try to look for whatever music I can, authentic or not, as it's difficult to find stuff that's legally free in general so I get what I can, and some authentic music (and non-authentic music) clashes too much with the game's vibe in my opinion.

The music is entirely optional, though. It can be disabled via game rule if you don't like it, so it doesn't need a separate submod.

The additional music is a complete deal breaker for me. Can you please describe how exactly the music can be deactivated? You need to set BEFORE you start the game?

*edit* looks very much like it, so I need to kick RICE from my playlist. Very unfortunate. Tip for the future: don't bake something that alters the vanilla experience in such a significant way into your base mod and make it an optional sub-mod. I'm not bothering to start my game over again only to activate this mod.

@ZarKimbo There is a game rule to disable the additional music. It also has an option to only disable vocal tracks.

Otherwise, if you aren't against messing with the files a bit, you can go to this location in your steam folder:

Steam/steamapps/workshop/content/1158310/2273832430/music

And deleting everything inside. However, this folder will automatically update every time your mod updates and, to avoid potentially messing with other code, I recommend just changing the game rule before you start a new playthrough.

Additionally, there is a console command to reset the music currently playing, music.reset

the Turkic music hits hard when i'm invading down Anatolia, dev has really outdone themselves :D
cybrxkhan  [udvikler] 27. aug. 2023 kl. 1:02
@Daghan I have the sources for the music listed in my code, if you want to listen to the originals, since they're freely available online, you can see the one I have for the Turkic music here: https://github.com/cybrxkhan/RICE-for-CK3/blob/master/RICE/music/khwarezm_flavor_pack.txt

I absolutely agree about the music that is added in Rice. It gives much more enjoyment playing the game. I play it unrestricted mode since it gives so even more variation than restricted. Thank you so much :)

The files can be viewed like any normal webpage, so if they're too big maybe you're looking in the wrong place and it's something else? Make sure you're looking in the right files, they are all located here: https://github.com/cybrxkhan/RICE-for-CK3/tree/master/RICE/music

Just click on the files that end in .txt (not the ones ending in .ogg) and you should be able to view them like a normal webpage. For instance, these are the ones from the Pamir flavor pack: https://github.com/cybrxkhan/RICE-for-CK3/blob/master/RICE/music/pamir_flavor_pack.txt
