Compatibility
Discovery changes a lot of the base game, thus it is unavoidable that the mod is less compatible with others. Discovery won't be compatible with mods which change the functions of locations or items, but it should be compatible with mods which specifically make additions such as item mods, explorer mods and art-related mods (art mods should work, though I am unsure).

Language
Currently, Discovery supports English and Chinese. I'm not multilingual and thus can't do any translations myself (besides using Google Translate). If anyone can help out with any translations, I would greatly appreciate it! (and your name can be listed in the mod's credits if wanted)

Thanks, that would be very helpful! The file that needs translating is The Curious Expedition\mods\discovery\langs\lang_en.csv. Create a copy of this called lang_zh-CN.csv. That will make the game read this language file when the selected language is simplified Chinese. The text on the left of the comma, such as "it-cutlass-name", is the ID for the item or event etc and shouldn't be changed. The text to the right of the comma, such as "Cutlass" is the text that needs to be changed. There are some special characters and definitions which also shouldn't be changed (such as '|' and '$name'), most I think are listed here https://curious-expedition.fandom.com/wiki/Modding:Language_Files . If everything works, please upload it so I can update the mod with the language file.Thanks again!

Strangely,I found a xls file called “WIP_lang_zh-CN” in “langs”。It looks like a Chinese translation?

That's the simplified Chinese language file I was working on. I used Google Translate to translate the English to Chinese. A lot of the formatting is wrong though. Feel free to use it if it helps! :lunar2019smilingpig:

This is my first time turn MOD into Chinese. It was a difficult task, but I brought it off.I have run the game several times with my translation and there are no obvious problems.Maybe there are some typos in the text that I didn't find.Let the players find it.:lunar2019laughingpig:

Because of the different expression habits in Chinese and English , I have revised the meaning of some sentences, but it’s harmless.

Some new enemies like balbal, codrille, sermilik, and they don't have Chinese translation.So,I surf the internet and find them on a website called "A BOOK OF CREATURES" . According to the description of these monsters on this website,I created their Chinese translation. For example,"sermilik",translated it into "覆冰巨熊",which means “giant polar bear covered in ice armor”.

If players find a BUG, I will modify it as soon as possible.Thanks for you help.That's all.:cozyovercooked2:

Would it at all be possible to get a version that could work with the spluky mod? Both mods mostly work together! I Don't know much about modding sorry if this is an odd or unreasonable request.

This one here! Both mods add so much cool content and like i mentioned seem to work together for the most part! thanks for responding too! i just found out CE has workshop enabled and im so impressed with how many cool things people have done!

I think it might be best to follow the instructions I gave ZatroolMG on the Description tab (start from the bottom of page 3. Also check out the modding tutorials here https://curious-expedition.fandom.com/wiki/Modding:Home). If you can figure out what doesn't work, it should be possible to modify either of these mods for yourself (just keep them backed up in case the mod you edit gets updated, in which case your files in the Curious Expedition / mods folder will be overwritten).
