Submit error logs on Pastebin or something. Particularly any errors with red text. In case you don't know, you can switch on dev mode through options, and then hit Tilde (~) to open up the console.

Usually if most of the UI disappears, that's an indication of some missing or bad data being entered. So far I've encountered delayed changing of ear colour, but nothing that has completely hidden the UI.

I have an issue where I butcher a human corpse and no bloodstone is dropped. Nothing is showing in the debug log and I don't believe I have any mods that could be interfering with butchering. I did it with a Revia with the Revia faction as a start. Is there a tech requirement as I have a tech limiting mod or is there any other explanation?
Fox with a Shotgun  [開發人員] 2020 年 3 月 12 日 下午 6:59
The recipe is specifically labelled 'Sacrifice humanlike'. It's not the same as regular butchery.
Gafronkis the Boot Maker 2020 年 3 月 12 日 下午 7:02
That is not showing up in either the butchering spot or the table. Could a cooking or furniture mod be interfering?
Fox with a Shotgun  [開發人員] 2020 年 3 月 12 日 下午 7:05
@XeranDereth I think custom furniture won't have the recipe, unless they've overridden the vanilla ButcherSpot or TableButcher defs. Or have inherited either of those two.

It was in fact the Vanilla Textures Expanded mod. It worked after I disabled it.

Hm. If that mod modifies the defName of the butcher table/spot from Vanilla and/or replaces it entirely, that makes sense.
I'll make a dedicated spot for sacrifices anyway. Prevents this sort of thing from happening in the future.

I've run into a very strange bug. I often do a lot of moving and like to play on two different computers. After spawning in one of your races and playing with them, I moved back to my other PC. However, when loading the save from the steam cloud on that PC, my Rivera no longer has the Soul Reap hediff and any attempt to add it back to them simply causes it to be removed again. Funnily enough, I decided to load up the save the PC I was orginally playing on and sure enough, it's fine there.

@InsanityCat I don't have two computers that I can test on, but I have a few thoughts.

Steam Cloud saves should be identical no matter where you are. Compare the savefiles on both sides, see if they're the same size and date.
Next is that your modlist should be the same between the two. This should be unlikely, because the Revia mod has no dependencies other than Alien Race Framework. If there was a fault in the mod loading, it would come up with an error log.
The last thing I can think of is the hediff is somehow invisible (there are invis hediffs out there). But that shouldn't happen either as the Soul Reap hediffs are set to be visible.

Turn on Developer Mode, switch on the error log before you load the save. See what it says.

On further examination, I'm actually confused that this can even happen. Revia that somehow spawn without the Soul Reap hediff are automatically assigned a random tier between 1-3 on spawning.

One bug spotted with regards to any child-generating mod. Revia bloodlust is not correctly applied on birth. Will patch this on the next update.
InsanityCat 2020 年 3 月 14 日 上午 6:33
Alright, so after examinination in Dev mode, this is actually not the only hediff getting removed from the Revia. All hediffs that get removed are giving the same error, eception ticking hediff (code of hediff, where it's at, and ticks since creation of hediff) for pawn (my Revia), Removing hediff... Exception: System.NullRefrerenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object
Fox with a Shotgun  [開發人員] 2020 年 3 月 14 日 下午 2:41
Alright. That tells me quite a bit more.

The ticking exception tells me it shouldn't be related to the Revia mod, as there is quite literally nothing in there that uses the Ticking trigger on any of its comps.

There should be further details available if you click on the exception message in dev mode in the error log. If you could tell me what it's erroring on, it would be great. Still, the chances of it being the Revia mod itself are slim to none, as you can actually spawn the Revia itself without RimWorld crashing on the other computer.

Do you have any non-Steam mods active on your other computer? Steam Workshop mods are kept in sync and up to date by a subscription list, but maybe you have some other mod installed on the other machine. It's possible that an out-of-date non-Workshop mod might be interfering with hediffs.

@InsanityCat Are you using the Immortals mod by any chance? The latest update sets Soul Reap hediff as non-harmful, so that it doesn't get mistakenly removed in the future.
InsanityCat 2020 年 3 月 15 日 上午 10:08
@Fox With a Shotgun I am using immortals, yes.
