Usage Guide: The Basics
So, it appears that a lot of people have not been understanding how this mod works. Actually, all the Youtubers seem to be failing to use it properly. I hope that I can rectify this with a basic, written tutorial on how they're meant to be used properly.

The Basics
If you get a freeze, disable "Use Weapon World Models" in the VRMod Utility panel.

In ArcVR, guns function semi-realistically. This means that you have to reload them like in real life. You can switch to HL:A style "backpack" magazines with the command arcticvr_headpouch 1.

Two-handing is now on a hybrid system. Trigger will grip, and reload will toggle grip.

Pressing up on the trackpad, on Vive, will switch the weapon's firemode, or on break-action weapons and revolvers, open the cylinder.

There are, broadly, two types of guns. Guns that use a detachable magazine, and guns that use an internal magazine. Most guns use detachable magazines. Detachable magazines can be removed by grabbing them out of the gun. Some guns allow the magazine to be dropped out automatically when a new magazine is brought close to it. Internal magazine guns must be reloaded repeatedly to fill their internal magazine.

Most guns will need to be racked before use. This can be done by grabbing the charging handle or slide and pulling towards you.

After a magazine is depleted, some guns will lock open. Once a loaded magazine is inserted, pressing the trigger can release the bolt on guns which support this feature - you will simply have to learn which guns do and do not have this.

Each gun is unique, and crafted with care and detail, though some model issues may slip through the cracks. Be sure to notify me of any problems! You will have to learn each of the weapons you use, and treat them with the attention you may treat a real firearm. As you use the mod more, you will acquire experience with its arsenal, and over time, become better in its use.

Along with this mod, I have made several extra weapon packs, which can be found in the ArcVR Official Collection.

I am having a problem with reloading the HL 9mm pistol, I can put the magazine in and ♥♥♥♥ the pistol but after that if I press the trigger nothing happens, I don't know if there is some kind of safety on the gun that needs to be disabled that I am missing or if this is a bug (I'm using the Index controllers).

while a safety exists (B button right controller, I think), it isn't enabled by default and you should be able to just shoot. Try it anyway.

the springfield is ridulously shiny, pure white in some circumstances

I'm using an HTC Vive and I'm not sure how to open the customizer menu.

There is no menu. You just pick up a spawned attachment.

so, I have no idea if it's me or not, but I have no way of getting a magazine out, I've tried the headpouch thing, I've made sure I actually *have* ammo, but I have no idea if I'm doing it correctly or not.

The weapons themselves also don't respond to any interaction from me, so maybe it *is* just me, I have no idea. I've tried using and not using world models, I've messed with seemingly every option, nothing works.

Having an issue where I can't pull the charging handle on any guns, and all of the counter-strike weapons are world-models even though I made sure world-models were off.

There is a safety on the gun that can be toggled using the secondary fire, but it doesn't default to on when it's spawned.

type "mat_specular 0" into the console. this will make the effect of lighting on every other gun less realistic, but it solves the problem for me.

It's not physically visible, and the hitzone is hard to find. Personally I found enable the HLA style ammopuch(Back of head, can't recall the command) was way more usable.
