The Purifier continues to only use the pistol in combat

when they use the pistol, there should be a cooldown for a turn after that and they will then use the flamethrower

Aye, I read the changelog, but I haven't seen them use the flamer yet, I'll continue to test them

Like others have said in the comments, they barley move, often stand in the open, and 95% of the time use their pistol.

After running some tests while using ABA and then ABAI, I've noticed the following:

While using ABA, purifiers use their flamethrowers and pistols just fine (though they can't seem to stop trying to use their flamethrowers on my SPARKs. Also, they do not use their Arc Cutters at all.

With ABAI, the purifiers use their pistol and Arc Cutters all the time. They charge into my soldiers and blast away with their Arc Cutters, and stand in the open while using their pistols. The pistol shot cooldowns aren't working at all, and they don't use their flamethrowers whatsoever.

I've yet to test them without any AI mods, since it's noted that this mod is incompatible with AI mods, but one would've thought just commenting out the AI changes from both ABA and ABAI would be enough, however it isn't.

If you have not cleaned your config folder, changes you make may not take properly

I should've noted that I did clean my configs between testing the mods, apologies. I spend more time testing mod compatibility than I care to admit. I just figured I'd post my results when running this alongside ABA/ABAI, hopefully without coming across as ungrateful.

I was looking through the XComAI.ini for ABetterAI and there aren’t any changes to the Chryssalid AI. So it must just be an ABA thing.

Yeah it took me like 300 hours of gameplay to realize that i HAVE never seen them throw a grenade or use their flamethrower... Kinda making them easier. Anyway i hope it gets fixed.

i see them us the grenade, pistol and flamethrower all the time in my playthoughs. Ill look at it again but are you by chance using any other mods that make any changes to the purifiers?

Had a weird interaction where a purifier skullmined by my specialist return fired. Even though the skullmine hit and the hack was successful, the purifier shot back immediately after the hack finished and it was dead. Not a big issue and I don't know if it might be influenced by other mods I have like scaling skulljack hit chance or ABA.
