Overactive Alliances
Is there a way to lessen the likelihood empires will form alliances? It's particularly annoying when you're trying to form the Federation and some of the founder empires refuse to join the initial alliance.

It's not something that can be configured by the player, no. We can make global changes but don't want to hobble the AI from making rational choices.

That makes sense. I try to focus getting diplomacy first to try and head it off but it's tough because certain factions like Andoria and Vulcan won't enter together and by the time I've discovered other empires like Tellarites they form an alliance amongst themselves

The best thing to do is form an alliance with the vulcans/tellarites as soon as you can, the Andorians typically dont form alliances in my experience and the Babel event will force all founders to like each other so the federation can form
