What are people's optimal settings for game start?

Tried Alpha/Beta map but misses too many races.

Tried full galaxy with 100 but the entire galaxy gets colonized way too quickly, slide it down to max 100 domestic focus but still galaxy is colonized quickly.

What do people setup?

Also, Klingons. Purposely so crazy strong? Vassalize everyone.
