Cardassians can't build dilithium mines?
I'm in year 2238 and have been juggling my dilithium by using the market. I figure this isn't right, and apparently I should be able to build dilithium mines on planets. The only problem is they are not select-able in the list of planetary buildings.

I check the research log and the tech is there under starting but has Planet limit = 0. I assume this is a bug?

Right. So its a planetary feature, I've just never seen a planet with it on it.

Dilithium planets are high priority strategic targets.

Having the same problem with no dilithium mine option appearing in building menu. It appears as a starting tech in the researched menu but with planet limit of 0 just like @shady.

Is there a patch for this?

Can you share a save game where you have a planetary deposit granting dilithium mines, but not being able to build one?

About 10 days ago. I started a new one yesterday and have the same problem again with a different planet that has dilithium deposits. The option to build a dilithium mine doesn't show up

Are you looking in the mining zone's building list?

If so, post a save game and the planet, and I'll take a look.

Just checked in the mining list of the new save and yes, it shows up there. I did this already in the previous game and could have sworn it still didnt appear. Maybe I just needed to reload the game.
