about 50 years have passed, the only civilization expanding is mine. settings are turned to hardest and most aggressive, canon and canon selected but nothing seems to be happening outside my borders other than agreements between other realms.

I've tried playthru as united earth, the klingon empire, the orion syndicate, and a few others, but in every play through the ai dont expand, and they rarely engage in warfare. am i doing something wrong? every other aspect of the game has been a phenomenal experience, the ships are great, the enterprise series timeline right out of the gate, but then, just uncontested expansion... please help.
