Event Chains not Working
I'm trying to trigger events from the mod in-game and am etiher met with "Event fired on Wrong Scope" or after putting in "effect random owned ship = { ship_event = { id = STNC_space_seed_event.100 } } nothing pops up. How would I go about triggering this event via console command properly, or any event for that matter.

Heh, this is less "event chains not working" as "please help with console commands". ;)


In general it's not a good idea to be triggering events in the console, as a lot of them have very specific requirements in terms of scopes that need to exist or be passed into the event.


In the above example you posted though, you've added spaces where the underscores are in the "random_owned_ship" scope effect.

I just tested it with that correction and it works just fine in country scope, providing you have at least one ship. You'll have issues with the even though, if you're not selecting a science fleet at the time you call the effect.
