Additional Tradition Slots and or Ascension slots?
So, with the amount of traditions now available, it sort of feels like it'd be cool for some more tradition slots to be made available. Even adding one would be nice I feel, as with quite a few empires several of them would fit but there's only seven you can wind up having.

Is there a possibility of adding more in the future? Is that doable or would it be likely to cause issues?

You could probably mod the define and interface to support more options, but TBH I think it takes away from *real* choice by increasing the maximums here. In an ideal world every tradition selection would be something you think about.

Its usually only one or two often find myself thinking would be fitting, rather than "need them ALL!". Logic and medicine would both fit the Federation/ISU for example, but usually by that point every other slots taken.

I recommend this mod or any of the variants from the same author to enable as many Tradition and AP slots as you like:

Sure does. I think there's one version that just adds 1 additional slot but you can have unlimited slots if you like.
