As the title says, is it intended that nearly all nations in EaW use the same default airplane models? (The 3D ones i mean)

As far as I can tell, Wingbardy and the River Factions do use distinct Unit designs.
But even while the research screen 3D viewer shows the Changelings use the German Airplane models, when the planes run missions they show up as the generic nations model.
Same thing for Equestria and the Griffon nations.

It just looks odd, and I'm wondering if this is a known bug, or if I'm just unlucky.
Reinstalled the Mod twice, cleared cache and everything, nothing helps.
