Generally speaking mods don't require dlcs to work. How did you download the mod? Are you maybe using a previous version of the mod or the game?

I am having a similar issue. The mod was running fine for the last few hours, I changed the UI scale and restarted. Now the launcher does not detect EaW, even though Workshop says I am subscribed. I think my launcher may have updated itself between the restart if that helps.

try to unsub and resub again. another thought is to manually install the mod from moddb for example

I figured it out, I think the update cleared my playset, removing the mod. I clicked "Add Mod" and re-added EaW. Its working fine now.

then thats a good thing.

My problem is that I still got the quotes but not the artwork.

i only getting THE NORMAL GAME ITS IN MY PLAYLIST AND I ENABLE IT AND IM ONLY GETING THE NORMAL GAME

I have the same problem. Since the 1.8.3 patch the mod doesn't work at all - it just gives me the base game. I tried reinstalling it, deleting the files manually, re-adding through the launcher. Everything. It just won't work.

okay i am not an expert but have you people tried the simple stuff yet? first of all make sure your game is the latest version. then go to your playset or whatever it is called now and make sure ONLY equestria at war is enabled. Then launch the game and it should work normally if your normal hoi4 is fully functioning. Now some things to note. If the launcher tells you the mod only works with an older version of the game, just ignore that. Launch the game with the mod enabled and everything should be fine. I have downloaded the game by subing here on the workshop so you too shouldnt run into any issues because of that. If the game still launches the normal game then try verifying your game files. If you try uninstalling, try deleting your mod folder as well from the paradox interactive- hearts of iron iv folder

Well, i installed this mod two times. Every time it was giving me only normal game. Ideleted the game. Downloaded it again. Mod don't want to work... What should i do?

a last resort solution would be to uninstall the game and then delete the hoi4 folder from the paradox interactive folder. then install the game again. (warning this will also delete all your saves so save them if you need them)
