F.A.Q.
Q: Do this mod works with Starbound 1.4?
A: Yes, this mod is fully compatible with Starbound 1.4

Q: Is this mod safe to install?
A: Yes, this mod is safe to install even mid-game, it does not require a new character.

Q: Is this mod safe to uninstall?
A: Yes, you can remove this mod at any point during your playthrought.
Only quirk is that the first time you play after removing the mod you "might" be kicked out to your ship, DO NOT PANIC, just log in again and everything is perfect.

Q: Where do I craft the tables?
A:You can then craft the tables in the "Inventor's Table" (The same one where you craft the "Primitive Furnace" and the "Anvil").

From that point onwards, you can "Upgrade" each table clicking in the button with the arrow pointing up that you will find in the top-right corner of the table UI (Next to the close one.)

Q: Where do I craft the tablets?
A:"Transmutation tablets" are the end-game version of the "Transmutation tables".

The first time you craft/pick-up a transmutation table you will start a "Quest" to improve your alchemical knowledge, finish it to obtain the tablet.

Once the quest is finished, you will be able to re-craft them again with your empty hands (The same one where you craft the "Campfire")

Q: Where do I craft the Universal tablet?
A:"Universal transmutation tablet" is a combination of all the "Transmutation tablets" into a single one.

Visit "The Baron" with all three tablets in your inventory and he will help you.

Q: Who is "The Baron"?
A: You can read about he here: https://starbounder.org/Baron

Q: Is this compatible with <InsertModNameHere>?
A: Yes, this mod is compatible with everything and will not cause any crash or problem.

Q: Has support for items added by <InsertModNameHere>?
A: For the moment it has support for "Frakin Universe" and "Elithian Races" mods, that means that the plants, ores and monster drops added by them are fully integrated into the tables.
See What can you study on each table. to have a detailed list of items.

If you want to see some other mod supported, or if you miss any item, let me know in that thread.

Q: Is this mod finished?
A: The mod is feature complete, that means that you will be able to use it from the start to the end without any issue or missing feature.
There are always things to polish and feedback will be welcome.

If you have any other question, let me know!
Transmutation books seem to drop on death, is this intentional?

It is, that way you have a HUGE (Depending on tha number of items that you have studied) reason to go back there.
But it people gets annoyed by it, it's no hard to change at all, so I might change that.

No, in casual you will retain your whole inventory even if you die. :steamhappy:

I'm assuming this isn't client-side, as all Front Page Mods aren't. :steamsad:

I don't know much about starbound modding, but aren't all mods that add items server-side?

Just a quick correction, misspelled "Campfire" there in the segment about crafting the tablets.

Are there any plans to make a "Universal" version of the mod, that carries EMC for all items? I feel like that could be pretty cool if the EMC cap was raised, and would feel much more reminiscent of the original EE2 mod.

In the sort term, I do want to do a "Tri-tablet", a combination of the three tablets into one.

Regarding a "Universal version", no.
The reason:

That's exactly how the mod began, allowing you to study everything and to get back everything you studied with just one table (Much like the Minecraft version does).
But I found that it completely broke the "Starbound experience", since crafting, farming, mining, hunting and exploring became obsolete at that point.
Also, in that situation you were able to generate infinite amounts of EMC (Take an item out, craft something with it, put it back, profit!), and I don't liked it.
Also, from a UI/UX point of view, there was no way to make an UI that can show you hundreds (If not thousands) of items in a usable and responsive way.
Finally, we already have the "Pixel printer" in vanilla, try to use it in "Admin" mode and lag to hell.

After all that, I decided to go for:
Only basic resources, because farming them is tedious (Ore, plants) or random (Monster drops), and ensuring that crafting and exploration is still a part of the game.
Split into different tables, so that each UI has only a small list of items you can easily navigate and filter.

Who is 'The Baron' because I can't seem to find him/her/it? I know that he is at the Outpost but not much more, unless there is another Outpost than the one were you get some of the Main Quests.

What exactly do you need to do to progress in the quests? Instructions not clear, arm, leg, and brother gone.

The first quests you receive when you craft the tables. I can't seem to progress them at all.
