Tips for fighting the Death Star as Consort?

Noticed that the AI has built the death star and is currently stomping the galaxy with it, Empire owns a good third of the Galaxy, wiping out both the Hapans and the Mandos. I don't know how to destroy it if it threatens me; is it like in the base game? do I need a special unit?

You will need to defeat DS's escort fleet while having specific fighter type heroes alive on battle field to destroy the Death Star, such as IG-88.
