Zann Consortium heros deflect orbital canon?

For some crazy ass reason the heroes of the Consortium deflect the shots of the orbital canon. Now I ain't an expert but Bobby B's belly sure as hell cant deflect every shot.

Same counts for Consortium heroes when targeting with concussion missles and torpedoes. On rare occasions, other factions hero-/capital-ships deflect the shots as well.
But it doesn't seem to be standard or reproducable, could be just buggy.
Maybe it's worth a look
