STATS?
Here are my ideas about the stats.I thinked of a throwable close combat weapon.It has two states:in hand and thrown.I thinked it would be good if it is pretty bad in hand compared to other Sniper close combat weapons.So:
+Can be thrown
When thrown:
+Deals damage on hit upon an enemy
+Crits Jarate coated enemies
+When misses, returns into hand in 5 seconds
-Cant be picked up if it kills an enemy
When in hand:
-20% slower firing speed
-30% damage

These stats would make the Kniferang deadly with the Jarate or the Sydney Sleeper(depends on what range you want to use it on.), but it will be a one-time used weapon(resuply locker refills it), so people will not just spam the throwing, and would actually have no melee weapon if they dont kill their targets. Also its pretty weak when used in hand.
This was my concept of this AWESOME weapons stats, tell me what you think about it!

Agreed, and it should be a secondary item like jarate. Having a recharge allows the Sniper to stay in the fight longer. Otherwise he'll keep heading to spawn after every few seconds of fighting.

Alt-Fire: Launches a boomerang, dealing heavy damage and returning to you soon after.
Cannot use weapon while it is being thrown.
-20% slower firing speed

Sniper is great at long range, so this takes away some of his short range strength in return for an extra far-reaching throw-able. If boomerangs do not hit an enemy by the time they reach 600 hammer units, or hit a wall, they will quickly return to the player.
