Season 5 Update and DSC's 2nd Anniversary
It's been 4 months since the Wave 4 update. Wow... It felt longer somehow. Anyway, here it is, the Season 5 Update... with the new BATTLE PASS! Yeah! Woo! Give us your money!!!

Okay, but seriously, this update was both a blast to work on and a pain in the ass. The Hunter was a great time creating and play-testing, and a ♥♥♥♥♥ to keep changing. Now I present to you, the finished Hunter! Pretty nice, huh? You flip cards and dodge for free, so I'd say that's pretty cool. I also had to change the Summoner several times before I got something I liked, but I had help re-balancing the cards. That help, was from none other than my friend Rasha! He enjoyed helping me mess around with cards so much that he had me make templates for him to make his own cards! Anyway, the Hunter has a Maria model that you can use as a substitute for the other one(cosmetic) as well as an interchangeable character board with 3 settings(also cosmetic). The Summoner has a dagger that powers up the attacks of their allies and familiars, and a new heroic ability- Pinwheel! It's a boss that you can control, isn't that neat? If you want to know more, check it out in the Book of Custom.

The bosses were another story... I always wanted to make these 3 bosses, but put it off for a while(a long while). Let's see, I actually made the Hunter in either December or January, and I finished the balancing and reworks of the Hunter and the Summoner around January, maybe February(probably early February). I didn't start working on Hydra until I think halfway through March... yeah. I didn't have too many problems making Hydra or Oceiros, who I started working on immediately after Hydra. I had the experience of making 2 whole classes under my belt, and a better understanding of Photoshop. I also used the core game's bosses as reference for damage values and icon depiction. Midir... was a doozy. I had to come up with a variety of new icons to depict how I wanted an attack to be performed. I'd already made new icons for Hydra and Oceiros, so I had an understanding of how to do so, but ♥♥♥♥, man! Also in the middle of making Midir, I had decided to make the cards black. I also went back and changed Hydra's and Oceiros' cards to also be black. Why did I do this? One day, I noticed in the actual board game, the cards are black, not blue. I wondered why the Steamforged print-and-play files for Sorcerer and Kirk were blue, despite the actual cards being black. I then had an idea about digitally remastering all of the cards in the mod. This would improve the quality and unite the cards to be the same style(you can easily notice the difference between cards just from the back). So I started this with my boss cards, and it looked great! I didn't remaster all of the cards yet, though. I needed a break from all the things I did. It was last minute that I realized that I needed to make Lv4 encounters for Midir, and I decided to make the Ringed Knights a part of them. To make the board I had to download Cheat Engine, go to the Ringed City, and use a free cam script to take an aerial shot. Not to mention I needed to cut out a LOT of node icons(*shudders*). I finished up posing Midir and the Ringed Knights, and I was getting ready to import them into Tabletop when suddenly, the Ringed Knight models broke! I had posed models for each of them, but to import models the way I do into TTS, they have to have less than 15,000 tris. This is why the models I have appear a little icky. The Ringed Knights have so many tris that, when I reduced them, the model was almost not even there! So I had to scrap the models and use pngs instead, ugh! At least I got it done.

If you've stuck around to my ramblings for this long I applaud you. So yeah, this mod is about 2 years old now. Wow, seems like just a few months ago when I decided I wanted to do this. Some dumbass who didn't know how to mod, and now Dark Souls Monopoly is #1 for relevance under "Dark Souls". I kinda hoped this mod would be up there, but hey whatever, right?

So, happy birthday DSC, check out new stuff, and I hope you enjoy.
