Custom Content
This is a Discussion for anyone to talk about any kind of custom content. This is referring to, but not limited to: the mod, things in the mod, things you would like to see in the mod, custom content not in the mod, and other thoughts you might have about the mod.
I'll talk about things that I plan to add here as well.

I should probably start by saying I've hidden a gold version of the Book of Custom somewhere in the mod. Has anyone found it yet?

I'm currently on break right now, but I've had ideas for adding certain... new... things...

I'm in the process of building a new pc, but once I'm done I'll start working on that extra stuff I mentioned. Just checking with everyone, how does a Bloodborne Hunter class focused on dodging and getting health back sound?

I've currently got stuff going on, and have yet to transfer everything to my new pc. Once I do that, I'll start working on the goods.

Do you have a list of which mod what content comes from? I have a lot of questions about specific bosses, enemies and other cards in the custom section, but there are so many different mods involved it's hard to tell who I'd even direct a question to.

The Book of Custom has information for everything, including who did what mod

Just played Midir, good stuff. I have a couple questions about how the new mechanics work in specific situations. Mainly the pierce mechanic.
Searing inferno has a range 3 attack, targeted at the closest player, with pierce 3. Pierce is described as going in a straight line, but what if the target isn't in a straight line from it? For instance, if I was 2 nodes away from Midir, with no straight line between the range 1 nodes and myself, can I still be targeted? And if so, how would the line continue beyond me, if none of the range 3 nodes are lined up straight?

The nearest target icon will have Midir turn to the nearest before attacking. Any pierce action will always be done in the front arc, directly in a straight line from the front of the model. Now say for instance, you're positioned 2 nodes forward, and 1 node to the right; If Midir can't line up the shot, he doesn't hit you. Searing Inferno has a range of 3, so if you are in a straight line within 3 range, you will be hit. Boss arcs MUST be lined up with nodes as stated in the rulebook.

I see. Normally bosses don't change facing during attacks, only movement. If it acts like an arc attack rather than a single target attack, but you want it to point in the general direction of the closest player, should it instead be (forgive my attempt at putting behavior card symbols into text): Move 0 (nearest), (magic) attack 7 (piercing 3)?

If a behaviour has attack nearest, the boss would still turn towards the nearest before attacking. Usually move 0 towards nearest is a setup for attacks that don't target the nearest and would instead hit an arc.

Actually I'm pretty sure that's not how it works. On pg 29 of the rulebook it says "Note that bosses do not turn when they make attacks. They only change facing during movement. "
Sometimes boss attacks have the "target nearest" symbol, but those target a specific character in range regardless of facing. Arc attacks always keep the boss in the same position as its last movement left it.

It doesn't matter. Pierce ONLY hits in a straight line. If you can't line up the attack, it doesn't land.

Ok. So in the case of Searing Inferno (the only card that has this combination, that I can see), does he turn towards (a node closer to) the closest character and then shoot straight ahead, or does he shoot the line at (a node closer to) the closest character regardless of facing?

No turning required, just directly in front of him. I'll update the card as soon as I can to avoid more confusion.

Awesome. Other than that, I found the Midir fight to be fantastic. I could picture Midir in the video game doing exactly what the card said most of the time. Also, just finished the Hydra, that was also REALLY cool. I've found a lot of the other custom content from others is pretty hit-and-miss in terms of functioning correctly/ explaining their new rules well enough to understand, but yours (other than that single confusing Midir card) so far work perfectly.
