Searing inferno has a range 3 attack, targeted at the closest player, with pierce 3. Pierce is described as going in a straight line, but what if the target isn't in a straight line from it? For instance, if I was 2 nodes away from Midir, with no straight line between the range 1 nodes and myself, can I still be targeted? And if so, how would the line continue beyond me, if none of the range 3 nodes are lined up straight?
Sometimes boss attacks have the "target nearest" symbol, but those target a specific character in range regardless of facing. Arc attacks always keep the boss in the same position as its last movement left it.
