help me no matter what i do my attacks do 0 damage??
after completing the first few quests with the merchant (standard start to this game) i seem to do zero damage to enemies unless i am on a mount but i dislike mounted fighting usually.. maybe im using the wrong weapons but iv tested out a few and its still 0 damage and cant afford better ones... love the mod and want to play it but its kinda boring when i have to rely on my troops to do everything..

welcome to what happens when a random russian thinks they can make a mod by mashing together every random meme mod hes ever found.

Increase your Mutation skill to at least 8 percent, that will net you free 3-6 Attribute points plus skill points every time you mutate. Dump these Into your combat skills, Find a decent weapon with atleast 40+ to 60+ damage. Some of these troops you will be fighting have God tier stats, If you push the Y key while using most melee weapons you'll go Into Bezerk mod. Your character will get increased damage, health and speed whilst this Is on.

to cheese bezerk mode click ESC and go into your menu real quick then click out. this will get rid of the annoying overlay that accompanies bezerk mode and now you can use any weapon, Hope this helps.

amazing. thank you! i ended up kinda doing this basically and making a pretty god tier character myself just figuring it out as i played, but im glad someone has such indepth knowledge of the mod, you should write a guid if you havent already
Very old comment, and the problem was solved, I know. But from my experience I think it was related to the specific enemy you're fighting, being much stronger than you for example Alien Juggernauts, or a faction lord. If you're using a melee weapon press Y to do rage mode and for a ranged weapon use T or U I think for the scope. These increase your damage.

MadG is Polish, not Russian.

In any case there are a fair number of armors with very high defense that will soak damage by most hand held weapons. For the original, it would need you to use a firearm or something similar to get past the initial soak from the high armor.

I'll re-do the armor rating, weight, and cost in my remake but all that takes time, as there are 2950 or so items to sort, re-do stats on, and reset costs. It looks to me the money is inflated by 10 over "old" money, which is fine, but I need the weights and armor rating to be more tightly consistent so this will add a few weeks to my remake.

Most of the code also needs replacing, but some of it has value, maybe 1/3rd of the lines by volume. I am knee deep in the items right now and it is very slow going for me.

for some reason theres not much if any difference thearin, when it comes to how the two races games/mods turn out.

as for your other statement, the values of armors, weapons, spells, etc. are randomly generated every time you start the game. its part of why it takes so damn long to load it. which does indeed sometimes result in certain pieces of armor having insanely high (presumably an overflow glitch and not something intentional) armor values, or certain units insane stats. i had 1 run where 1 of the basic units had over 2000 strength, meaning that they just 1 shotted everything. i would frequently get basic units that are set to some 500+ speed. and since its the unit type, it applies to *every* itteration of that unit in the game.
