Another bug is seemingly all my lords are taking the female ver of noble prefixes such as lady. I assume any race that is not human male is counted as female
Whenever I decide to do anything in the mod I judge relation time/weight of change. So how much time it will take me to do something and how much change in the world itself it will do. Marriage is not on a first place though. Threre are plenty of things that are urgent.
So for now I do work on descriptions, hints and so on to make PARADIGM WORLDS easier to comprehend.
The doomsday clock ticks like 500 or so ticks everyday. Theres gigantic minor factions that are constantly whaling on me, my lords, and enemies. It's super annoying. Whats wrong? And how can I stop the ticks? Or better yet, how do I "end" the minor factions similarly how you can end factions when you take all their land. I get the option to capture the PIKE warlord and "execute" him, but he just comes back. Its sorta rediculous
Probably you got critical hit, most probable by a grenade. You should start burning and die, but I thought that could be too hard so you just unequip weapon and loose part of efficiency.
I f you go to the camp menu -> paradigm worlds - autofire -> choose one of three info message options. For example middle, you will get some info onm crotical hits.
from the article on ketele:
World's events will have huge impact on Doomsday Counter. Every war, every bad doing, will bring world closer to a verge of another mayhem. Yes, cycles. Each hell-spawn is a new cycle, harder than its predecessor. You can always check 'world's status' in your reports.
[There is also a new relation, to a CAMPAIGN AI difficulty, that can be set in vanilla options screen. Every 7 days, special Doomsday Week will commence. Dependent on chosen difficulty, a few Doomsday 'clicks' will have place, and and to a Doomsday Calendar. For EASY it is 3 Doomsdays, normal - 7 and hard - 10.]
So you can slow it down.
Important thing is that you can try to do bad deeds, cause war (+50) to 'overload' counter. When it is more then 666 it does reset to random day of 1 to 666.
So sometimes it is good to keep it low, but you may also do 'bad' things to make reset happen.
As to dealing with minor parties. Your honor affect your relations. High - good - honor makes you friends with 'good' factions and opposite 'bad' factions will like you if you will behave bad.
You can also try offer some money to make friends.
Generally it is not a good idea to attack each party, careful plan with whom you wanna make friends and who should be your enemy. By there way, neutral parties like you only whyen your honor is close to 0.
Is efficiency factored in auto-calc battles?
Also, what skills affect fellow nobles? Should I upgrade only things that vanilla will help - like party speed, party sight, and trainer - or should I upgrade party skills that this mod has?
Also, what skills affect fellow nobles? - same as you, or your companions. You should use descriptions given in mod, character's skill descriptions. Every troop in the game is affected by skills, same way as each troop in the game is affected by mutation or any other rule.
I wanted to give 'life' to other lords, AI as much as possible. So they have equal chances. Some things were designed by vanilla in a different way for AI, and different for a player, but I do everything I can to reduce that.
You have 3 kinds of skills: personal, party and leader.
Personal - they work for individual, like combat brutality (former power strike)
Party - engine check highest skill in party (for example logistic, former pathfinding)
Leader - they are important only for party's leader
If you take a look at the descriptions you will see that some skills have been remodelled so they can be both - PERSONAL and PARTY at the same time. For example - Eagle Eye - (former spotting) it still works as skill responsible for seeing radius on world map, and it is checked only for 'highest skill member' - but it is also responsible for ACCURACY on the battlefield and is important to everyone (at least to every 'ranged' troop).
There are also skills that are LEADER and PARTY both: for example Field Medicine - it still works as intended by vanilla, member with highest skill is your medic, but if you or any other LEADER will invest in that skill, your troops will get +3HP per YOUR field medicine skill.
A LEADER is definitiopn of any troop that is leading an army. So it does no have to be a hero, lord etc. Leader of enemy army is the unit you talk to during dialog part leading to a battle.
If your speed on the map is affected by logistic, then lord, companions too. And so on. If there was a way to make your and AI chances make even, I took it.
I just finished a huge tutorial on battles, skills, unique items, generally mechanic -> https://www.moddb.com/mods/paradigm-worlds/features/weatherwarfare-simulation-module-rulebook
Any fixes?
TROUBLESHOOTING / CRASHES: https://www.moddb.com/mods/paradigm-worlds/features/troubleshooting-crashes-bugs-tech-issues
PW is very demanding mod so if you lack of RAM you may have issues
