You want to try it with every other mod disabled, and preferably hard-resetting your graphics settings, and roll back every console change you did. The last point is especially necessary if you ever used "ultra low quality configs" or "best visuals config".
Only then we can even begin assuming the kind of issue you might have.

The description of the issue you left doesn't sound common to me, so it looks like it us up to you to share all the necessary details.

I haven't checked this exact version of VRMod in a while. If anyone is aware of the causes, or if it is an issue, induced by recent updates - let me know.
