can you play gmod vr with non vr players?

I was thinking about playing gmod vr but my friends asked me if they could still join without also using vr

Yes, they can join you. They only need the workshop mod. They DON'T need the DLL module.

Seems like this is up to the server. Clients without VR can connect just as usual, while VR players - with the DLL - can connect in VR mode.
