Which directx your gmod is using? VRMod, and VR itself, are incompatible with anything older than dx9.

Only x64 is compatible with VRMod.
I'm not asking about the bits of the app. I'm asking about DirectX.

Put this as your game's launch argument: -dxlevel 95
Launch it once, and it'll fix the issue.
Remove the launch argument after launching the game once, or else it'll be resetting your video settings everytime you run the game. You only need to apply that once.
