In theory, this would work perfectly well. Recruiting the prisoner isnt impacted by the prisoners social I dont think. (could be wrong, but im sure its all colonist side)
In practise, let me know how many of your colonists they knock out with their bare hands.... :D
I wonder if the story-telling engine would see a difference between prisoners who died during the trials, and perhaps someone who was recruited before the last of their trials and died after becoming an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ colonist.
