Team Fortress 2

The Truth Fruit
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important
Stat Suggestions?
Primary Fire - Throws a projectile that can latch onto walls that other projectiles home in on. (Disappears in 7 seconds)
Alt Fire - Projectiles home in on YOU instead, and you are marked for death while using it.
-90% damage penalty
Marked for death for 2 seconds after Truth Fruit is thrown

The idea is to be another team oriented secondary for scout, to either deter spam happy soldiers and sticky traps in a chokepoint, and keep the damage off your team. The alt fire is situational, but can be used as a last second save for a friendly medic, or to draw attention to you whilst being ubered, allowing teammates an easier time during a push.

The downsides are intended to deter spamming it, selfishly using it, or to use it as a crutchy save for yourself, as you'll take minicrits for 2 seconds after throwing it, meaning planning will have to be used or you will be dead in an instant. The damage penalty is to deter players trying to hit people with tomatoes, as projectiles will not home in on players. The lack of a reliable mid-long range damage source with make this a good tool during pushes, but ill suited to 1v1 deathmatches and long range combat. Lastly, hitscan is not effected by the Truth Fruit's gravitational pull, and makes fighting other Scouts and Heavies harder.

On impact: Target's vision is partially blinded.

-20% Decrease in recharge rate.
No random critical hits.

I like this one. It's simple, and could be useful in some situations, or at least fun.

[Stats]
.
Does 10-15 dmg.

.When hit, target iis marked for death for 3.5 seconds

.Enemys that get hit, will have like...red.....♥♥♥♥ on their screen.

.Will stay red even if it on a blue scout (not really a stat ;-;)

.Only Mini-Crits

.If you miss, can swap weapons for 1.0 seconds.

throwable like the guillotine
+50% faster recharge rate
+instant recharge on successfull hit
+on headshot: Enemy is slowed down by 15% for 1 second

-does only 10 damage

Pretty much a joke weapon like the Hot Hand.

I think it could be:

*Similar to the use of the guillotine
+When impacting leaves the player with the screen of the game with a distortion or a stain that does not allow to see,
similar to Mario Kart's squid
-While far away is the impact less hard the effect
+If you are very close, leave the player with the effect for almost 5 seconds
*10 seconds of weapon regeneration
- -90% damage
+The invisible spies dripping tomato juice if they are hit

It could be a good advantage against snipers or pyros

I believe any form of blinding mechanism would not be fun at all to play against and also be broken.

Well the 'Mario Kart squid ink' idea might be ok, since it doesn't completely prevent a player from seeing, they should still have enough vision.

I would just use this on pro snipers, and unbox a normal crate everytime they call it 'broken' :3
i kinda like the "bullet magnet" idea. kinda like bonk, but you arent invincible AND the bullets go towards you

-Sticks to walls and other objects on contact, not a stat, just an artstyle choice of sorts

-Depending on range will do 10-20 damage

-Target marked for death for 5 seconds when hit

-Headshot blinds target partially for 3 seconds.

-Can be shot out of the air

Come on guys keep it simple, there is no reason to make a huge gimmick out of it, and that bullet magnet thing doesn't really fit TF2
waeeewoooo 16 Aug, 2018 @ 2:01am
it would be a confidence debuff
-10% damage
slows scouts
Naf 16 Aug, 2018 @ 2:14am
My stats ideas

+ Attacked enemy is being slowed by 20%
+ When weapon does a front body headshot, enemy view decreases (again, like in example with MarioCart squid) and enemy recieves a critical damage
+ Invisible spies began to spread tomato particles after being hit for a short period of time
+ After successful hit weapon recharges faster by 50%
- Recharge rate is longer by 30%
- Weapon deals 80% less damage

(I think headshot idea is fair, because its almost impossible to do a headshot as a scout, class that requires to move all the time, making it hard to aim)

Question

Since when tomatoes have magnetic powers?

Thats why I like the 'Mario Kart Squid' idea. I think this would work well as somewhat of a joke weapon, similar to the hot hand.
