1. Delta Tech (green) gives you Punishment Bombardment. If you 100% devastate a planet with Punishment, it will become a (green) Fractured World. A few Fractured worlds spawn during galaxy generation. If you colonize them, you'll have to defend the colony against recurring invasions from void monsters. If your armies are strong enough, you can enact a decision to invade the void monsters' dens and root them out; if you succeed, their incursions will stop, but if you fail, the entire planet explodes! Once you've cleared them out, colonization will be much easier, and you can finally build districts and begin extracting large amounts of DM/DE from the planet.
2. Alpha Tech (blue) gives you Exterminatus Bombardment. If you 100% devastate a planet with Exterminatus, it will become a (blue) Ultrafractured World. It is highly unstable at first, so you need to invest energy and DM/DE to stabilize it, and then get the Twilight Soils tech to make it barely habitable. Void monsters are more powerful, and you still need to clear them out, but DM/DE yields are much greater, and you can eventually turn the planet into a Void Sphere once you get the tech for it.
3. Sigma Tech (orange) gives you Annihilatus Bombardment. If you 100% devastate a planet with Annihilatus, it becomes a completely uninhabitable star.
In my current playthrough i run into a problem that the technology for colonizing ultrafractured worlds does not show up. I have already the Alpha DM tech complete, all Precursor blueprints and also colonized a fractured world.
I checked the files (bc i can) and it stated that you need fractured world colonization and Alpha DM core researched, which i already have now for like 30 years. Is there anything scripted which i could have messed up ?
I want void spheres again, but it doesn't seem to unlock with fractured worlds (testing around if fractured colonization would be enough here myself, so far... not.)
Edit:
It seems the Code didn't appreciate that i tinkered with the Blessing cannon of the Precursor Colonizer.
I tried to make a shortcut to just create a fractured world with it, colonize it and heal the planet, to get the void tech.
But even though all of that works, void tech is not unlocked, and since i skipped it seems it even wouldn't allow me to do it correctly in the same playthrough. Hence i had to start over.
TL:DR
Creating fractured worlds with the precursor colonizer blessing weapon seems to break the event chain for unlocking ultrafractured worlds and void sphere.
