I have recently acquire a book that has pretty much includes almost all carriages, though those photos are B&W and are a bit too small.

The 38 haul most set type rolling stock but the most common were the HUB, RUB, N type and R type carriages.

HUB and RUB were air con sets used on long hauled express services which replace N type carriages in the 1950s.

Oh and lettering is important.
Take for example this one. HFN. The first letter H stands for Gaurd as there is a guards compartment. F stands for second class and N was the type of carriage. Usually the last letter in the code is the type of carriage.
There is a guide that says what the letters mean.

Hi there. I hope you don't mind me asking you here but I am just wondering, are the 2 C38 class Pacific's that you made for Train Simulator available for download? I have a passion for the NSW 38 class locomotives and I would love to play them on Train Simulator at home. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it. Best wishes Rowan.
