Stat Ideas: Come here to post them
Since we don't decide them, we may as well discuss our ideas here.

Enabling it for use in medieval mode is ridiculous. It'd be useless anywhere else, and overpowered in Medieval mode.

Hmmm...
Wasn't this made originally for the MEDEIVAL update? What did you have in mind?

It's a medieval item only in style, not in functionality.

They need to make an entire mideval mode set for the classes so people wont be spamming demos and snipers like the classes could be changed to: soldier = footman pyro= pyromancer scout = out rider demo = knight heavy = brawler engy = artisan or smith (with davinci style machines) medic = cleric or preist sniper = archer or ranger and spy = rouge or an assasin then they would all be balanced

That is an incredible game changing thought. that itself could be an all classes item set!

I agree, should only be able to do those things and use those weps (not your own)
I think it should have the same stats it has for advanced weaponiser. Except, you cannot use the oil drop at 1 ammo, leaving one puff of flames to activate the oil trap.
for mideaval, it could have
infinite ammo
-90% dmg

or something to that regard

Here’s my suggestion for stats, perfect for what the Pyro is unmatched in; hit and runs:

+ Afterburn deals 2% of target’s current max health as damage per half second
+ Airblast is constant stream as primary fire is but at twice rate of ammo cost
- -50% damage penalty

Here’s a graph to show the first mechanic, keeping in mind that all damage in TF2 is rounded up

Current Max Health of Ignited Enemy (h) ---- Afterburn Damage per Half Second for 10 seconds

50 < h ≤ 100 ------------------------------------------- 2
100 < h ≤ 150 ------------------------------------------ 3
150 < h ≤ 200 ------------------------------------------ 4
200 < h ≤ 250 ------------------------------------------ 5
250 < h ≤ 300 ------------------------------------------ 6

it should have +40% flame spread(width of flames), -20% flame length (how far the flames go), +50% ammo capacity and crits on wet players
nhjoiug 19 Aug, 2015 @ 3:13pm
+50% less ammo consumption.
Holding down fire for too long overheats the weapon.

Or

Increased airblast fire speed.
Airblast has increased knockback on players.
Airblast does knockback to you.
+50% airblast cost.

How about this:
+Primary Fire Launches fireballs for 10-25 ammo
-can't use continuos fire
-Can overheat
Aquatic Savant 23 Nov, 2015 @ 4:32pm
firing for too long destroys it and creates a fireball around you that makes the pyro vulnerable to afterburn

I do remember it having Oil-based stats.
Lugging oil across the ground instead of flames, to then be lit for a period of time with another weapon.
That would be pretty balanced, enhancing the Volcano Fragment's abilities instead of overpowering it
Being nearly completely useless on it's own

+
100% more damage
-90% airblast cost
+50% hp

-
No random crits

Done...
