I cannot, after all these years, be the only person to notice that when you say, tell a ship to attack an enemy ship, said ship will proceed to charge forward at full speed straight into enemy fire. Far passed the point where it's turbo lasers were within range, it will continue charging forward until it's touching tips with the enemy. The halt command will stop the suicide charge, but then it also stops attacking my specified target. So I give a second attack order(keep in mind we are way too close now, again turbo lasers WELL WITHIN RANGE of the target), it begins charging forward once more. So in essence, the only way to maintain any kind of battle lines, or even just not have your ships commit suicide via charging into the enemy fleet is to NEVER give attack orders and just hope your ships focus fire as needed??? Explain how I am wrong, PLEASE. It is a miserable aspect of this game for me.
