Available skills per slot limitations. (And point cost display)
So I'm curious what the current state of the respec limitations is intended to be. I have added to my LWOTC just two classes: Stormrider (Tedster's ver) and Crasher (Kiruka). My stormrider now has only 5 abilities to swap for each rank, different per rank (so it looks like restrictions were created so you cant slot op abilities in every slot.)

However I don't see this behavior on any LWOTC classes or crasher. Is it this mod that caused stormrider to have limited respec options or his? And if it was from this one I hope to see it for the base classes and crasher too. Or if it's something for user to turn on let me know. This is mostly on my assumption that the xcom skills have innate point values and are not intended to show up in any possible slot in LWOTC.

On that point, I previously asked about seeing projected point cost for skills when hovering so we can limit ourselves, but I wonder if I misunderstood how the xcom skills were set up, and any skill could show up in any row? I do have one instance of a 35 pt skill showing up in 15pt slot on one of my soldiers naturally, so I'm no longer sure.

I'm just curious what intended behaviors are so I can decide if I'm cheesing my game putting whatever skills in cheap slots or not lol! Basically, is normal LWOTC behavior that any xcom skills can show in any slot and the point costs are just to simulate increasing cost of having more xcom skills at once (and luck of getting good ones on the 10 cost slots)? Or are they supposed to be slot restricted?

Either way, there is a disparity between my stormriders having only 5 choices for each slot and others still have around 50 regardless of what slot I choose. (At least the issue where I saw all 400 perks is gone though haha.)

After counting I guess it shows there may be just categorization missing, as there *would* be 6 per slot for everyone, with 7 slots and 42 skills.
(49 skills with the 7 that are already on character.)

in standard LWOTC there is a deck per rank. The number of abilities you can choose from at any given rank depends on the numbers of abilities put into that ranks randomability deck by the LWOTC devs. You can check that yourself in XComClassData.Ini. But on a general sense on Rank 1 you get 5 possible abilities and it's abit increasing to like 10ish on rank 7. There are also no duplicates. It was also never intended to have the 35 AP abilities in the earlier slots, this is also the main reason I made the change to the mod respecting it now. The old behaviour can be brought back by commenting out the rankdecks in the config.

With this being said. LWOTC soldiers having a specific deck per rank is almost exclusive to these soldiers. Normally a soldier would have 3 abilities rows and 1 randomability deck. This is the case for the herosoldiers in base WoTC for instance and also for alot of classmods! Furthermore a soldier can have more than 1 random ability deck and if they are not tied to the rank all abilities are combined into 1 selection choice. Rankdecks must also be specified in this mods config, like I did for the LWOTC soldiers if they have a different name from the LWOtC ones.

I look at adding the ability cost to the tooltip over the course of the weekend.
