If someone prefers how it was before and being able to choose any ability in each option, you can do so by deleting the last lines in the "XComImTheCommanderHere" file in the Mod's configuration folder.

Use it with discretion as it can break the game a bit.

This mod is not for RPGO and hasn't been for a long time. From my understanding rpgo has it's own respec feature.
Denn 8 Oct @ 6:08pm
(Sorry for my Engish) It works perfectly before, but I have a problem after last update: then i try to change any ability, in my owne ability list see abilitys of solder-three, but not mine. So i cant change anithing at all. Playing WOtC with Musashi RPGO. Read all manuals but didnt find out. Is any ideas? Thanks.
Dare  [author] 7 Oct @ 1:18am
u don't need any of the extension mods. The LWOTC extension mod does nothing anymore. The normal extension mod would give you the Crossclassabilities as additional respec option if you want to.
K1ndr3d 7 Oct @ 12:33am
Dreams come true! I'm playing vanilla LWOTC and the mod now does filter abilities based on AP cost. Thanks for your amazing work!

I'm a bit confused though if I need any of the mod's addons (Wotc and Lwotc).
MaXISerg 6 Oct @ 1:58pm
@Dare you are amazing. Everything worked. Thank you so much.:steamhappy:
yarro 6 Oct @ 1:29pm
No problem. Thanx.
Dare  [author] 6 Oct @ 1:02pm
if you don't wanna do the config thing, just subscribe to the this extension mod:

Extension mod
Dare  [author] 6 Oct @ 12:57pm
If the perkpacks abilities are missing, go to the config and set xappendherosoldierswithtcabilities to true. that will add the crossclass abiltiies to the respec pool again, current it is giving you only the skills from the deck.

sry @yarrow While deleting my comment because of typos I double clicked and deleted yours as well :/

@Dare
/I use an automatic translator/
I double-checked. MecTropper and Skirmisher Heavy Class are working correctly. However, the selection of skills from other classes and skill packs from other mods is missing.
Troopers
Skirmisher Heavy Class
as before
Perk Pack
BaseClassPlus is working correctly, but the Xcom description is still offset. up

@MaXISerg

I deployed the fix for BaseClassPlus
Dare  [author] 6 Oct @ 9:01am
@MaXISerg

MecTropper and Skirmisher Heavy Class work fine for me, can u recheck?.

I'm working on a fix for Base Classes Plus and bring back the old Logic. And If possible comment in english or german.
CEO of imperialism 6 Oct @ 8:17am
That fixed it, thanks!

@ijiwaru: For the longest time I used to think that only psi operatives can use pistols since they only have 4 lines of perks and so you don't need to scroll down with them. Took me an embarrassingly long time to figure that out! Anyways, your comment would have been helpful when I started playing LWOTC but thanks for trying to help and giving me a good chuckle at myself :)
MaXISerg 6 Oct @ 7:04am
Несколько лет уже пользуюсь вашим замечательным модом. И тут такая неприятность. С нетерпением ждем исправления.
MaXISerg 6 Oct @ 7:02am
О вот оно что . мод обновился. А я думаю куда делись умения бойцов.
Строка выбора умений за очки Xcom поднялась выше и заменила Строки из других модов.
к примеру
Заменяет строку titan из MEC Troopers
Заменяет строку tactician из Skirmisher Heavy Class
Заменяет строки умений из Base Classes Plus
ijiwaru 6 Oct @ 5:09am
to CEO: Sometimes the pistol perks gets bumped up or down on the table, try either scrolling down or looking in a different row above where the pistol perk used to be.
Dare  [author] 6 Oct @ 12:07am
I made another change which should fix psi-op (hopefully).
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 10:55pm
I look at psi op duing the day
ijiwaru 5 Oct @ 4:54pm
YES it is working, you maybe even improved it! For some of my classmods they could only respec existing abilities at -2 but there was not option to add a new one for -5, but now all the classes have that option.

Thank you!
CEO of imperialism 5 Oct @ 2:06pm
Running into a problem in LWOTC where respecing a psi operative also removes the corresponding pistol perk (changing the 1st perk also make the magnum perk disappear, for example). This doesn't happen with other soldier classes and I don't use any mods that add more classes than what was added in LWOTC.
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 1:24pm
yeah no worries. lemme know tomorrow, will go to bed soonish myself.

I made another little fix.
yarro 5 Oct @ 1:12pm
Not until tomorrow. Too late today ;)
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 1:06pm
I made a fix, can you check again? Make sure the mod has updated.
yarro 5 Oct @ 1:05pm
I haven't used the lwotc mod extension yet, although I have played Long War.
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 12:44pm
I'm debugging it right now. Should be fixed either today or tomorrow.
ijiwaru 5 Oct @ 12:42pm
I unsubscribed from the LWOTC extension, no change to what I can and can't respec

Yes, they are classmods... lemme see...

Chimera Classes
Burner and Rocketeer
Shadow Ops Classes for LWOTC
[WotC] Richards Classes (3 Perks per level PLUS LW2 Weapons) [Old, Unsupported]

If coding around them would do the trick, that would be awesome. I love this mod you made, it really helps in the mid- to long-game.
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 12:32pm
ahh are those classmods? If so I might have to code around them. I take at them.
ijiwaru 5 Oct @ 12:30pm
I'll give it a try. I did some more poking around and some of my soldiers can still respec, but others cannot. Demolitions, Infernos, Hactivists, mages, Marksman, Medics... it looks like the additional soldiers that can be modded in lost the respec option. I *was* able to respec them before.

Then again... It still works for Assault Infantry, Hunters, Psionics, Technical Specialists...
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 12:22pm
are you still subscribed to the extension mod for lwotc if so can u unsubscribe and check again?
ijiwaru 5 Oct @ 12:15pm
LWOTC. The left side scree lists all the optional XCOM traits but the center screen is blank, no options. It'll still accept -2 or -5 points to respec on the bottom right but no new skills are made available.
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 12:08pm
uff not what I expected. Are you guys playing LWOTC or normal x-com2? Is the left side empty or just the center one?
yarro 5 Oct @ 12:02pm
In my current campaign, I've practically lost the ability to change soldier skills. Should I start over? It's a bit frustrating, as the modification has worked quite well so far.
ijiwaru 5 Oct @ 11:56am
Apparently it's *really* doing nothing because I no longer have any options to swap any skills... it's a blank screen.
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 6:30am
The LWOTC extension mod is no longer needed currently. You can stay subscribed to it, but it won't do anything as of now.
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 6:28am
I also added auto-deck detection for deck-soldiers. So adding classmods decks to the config is a thing of the past. I also added a feature to override the respec index based on classname and gameversion. Big thanks to RustyDios for answering my two question, I was abit rusty in UE3.5 :P
Dare  [author] 5 Oct @ 6:24am
I made a huge update to the mod today. I added support for the diffrent decks per rank for the LWOTC mod. I also have discontinued the old unsed Tier decks. The mod should now also autodetect which game version you are using either Vanilla or LWOTC and behave accordantly. I have tested both Vanilla and LWOTC versions extensivly and everything should work as normal. But as I have rewritten alot of stuff there is a good chance that something broke or is no longer behaving correctly. If you find any bug let me know and I will try to fix it asap. Please be as detailed as you can if make a report.
Valkerion™ 4 Oct @ 11:48am
@Dare That sounds great! I also noticed; LWOTC classes for me only show around 40 ish skills. It's my modded class that shows every single skill from every single perk pack making for a list of like 300 perks which is what I saw when I made my comment. Quite... overwhelming. The others aren't nearly as bad.

But if we can at least see the costs, or if only the relevant perks show up for each one you want to replace that match the cost, should make even modded classes respec option a lot better. Looking forward to it!
Dare  [author] 4 Oct @ 12:31am
That is what I am working on, currently.
K1ndr3d 3 Oct @ 9:03pm
Hi, is it possible to limit the list of abilities to the same tier, so I won't be able to swap 10 AP worth ability for the one which normally costs 35 AP?
Sorry, but I didn't get your comment below about respecting the deck. Will it also fix the issue?
Dare  [author] 1 Oct @ 11:16am
I'm actually thinking of reworking the lwotc stuff to make the "respec" respect the Deck they are coming from. That might solve the whole issue. What you are suggesting sounds like work only you would benefit from and not everyone using it.
Valkerion™ 30 Sep @ 10:22am
I'll ask here as well as lwotc extension as I'm not sure which is more relevant to potentially add this request (I am using lwotc but perhaps this is only something for the base mod to add);

Any way to just add a point cost display of the ability you hover over? One may be using quite a few perk decks and find the 150+ abilities list a bit daunting and knowing the point cost of the abilities when changing a locked slot would be great. (So when you hover ability and it shows the ability description, can also show the cost somewhere here.)

Really I'd even prefer a setting if the cost locks abilities shown in list to the slot's value = only show 10 cost abilities when respec 10 cost slot, but probably too much overhaul. Thanks for your consideration.
Dare  [author] 8 Sep @ 10:16am
The LWotc extension mod includes a XComImTheCommanderHere.ini, which tells the main mod about the custion deck names. Check there how to implent them. Your custom class mods should contain a XComClassData.ini. In there you should find the Decknames for those classes which need to be added to the config.
mrbagginssteam 7 Sep @ 2:38pm
Question about custom classes and how to include unique skills in those classes:

I'm running I'm the Commander here, the extension and the LWotC extension, and everything has been working well. I do see a lot of skills in the Respec window, but when I tried to respec the Heavy class (Heavy for LwotC) I didn't see one of the class defining abilities in the respec list (Sunomata)

First, if you have a custom class, I'm guessing it doesn't automatically pick up extra abilities without configuring your mod to add the appropriate Deck Names for the custom class? Where DO I add the configuration? Add it to one of your mod or extension mod config files? Add an additional XComImTheCommanderHere.ini to the new classes config folder?

Basically, how do we do this if some of the abilities are not included in the standard LwotC class decks?
greatshift 2 Sep @ 5:37pm
Not sure whats wrong, I am able to respec but in missions they swap back to original ability.
It was Stealth, and I found out you posted a mod for LWOTC which is what I play so I made some modifications in the config and it worked, all good :D
Dare  [author] 30 Aug @ 1:17pm
Is the ability really called Stealth and not Phantom?
Hey! Idk if you can help me here in the comments, but I use the extension and I tried to add a perk to the skirmishers (the stealth which grants you concealment as long as enemies don't detect you), so I duplicated the line that added the supression perk to skirmishers and replaced "Supression" by "Stealth" which is what you use for the Templars, and it doesnt work. I tried many different perks and it doesnt appear when I use the command "RespecSelectedSoldier" or when I search through the Respec button. Is there a way you can help me? Thx in advance :)
Dare  [author] 19 Aug @ 4:41am
good it worked out for you :)
ThePwnageKitty 17 Aug @ 8:55pm
oh wow...... i found a simple solution for what i was really looking for which wasn't adding in new abilities necessarily but having access to all abilities possible from my xcom pool. all i did was add in tiers 5-7 for all the classes in the lwotc extension for this mod and it did what i wanted. whew that was easier that i thought it would be.
ThePwnageKitty 17 Aug @ 8:01pm
err.... actually there is apparently a random ability deck for each class but i think I will have to fumble around to get what I want to happen with that...
