Below is my comprehensive (mostly handwritten) list of potential ideas and concepts for the future of Elite's Conflict Mod. Many of these ideas our team created, but other games, teams, and community members have supported us or simply inspired us to add it to this list. Thank you to everyone for your insights, it never goes unnoticed.
Completed numbers are shown here: 8,9,11,18,21,23.
1. Advanced Imperial corvette class "lancer"
2. Updated skyboxes
3. Tiered units per tech level
4. Additional space maps
5. Updated selection circles for units (HD and accurate proportions)
6. Fighter/Bomber class tech specializations
7. Corvette/Frigate class tech specializations
8. Refined population and reinforcement systems
9. Less ships on battlefield at one time, but each ship is more valuable (less expendable), giving player more micro time, slower game pace, more tactical, ships are harder to build, fighters/bombers are much more important, things are expensive (this would create an environment more representative to the movies)
10. Updating all shielding regen compared to shielding caps
11. Precise and flexible camera movements
12. Double checking range of weapons (creating weapon types that have specific and universal stats, visible to the player)
13. Double checking and standardizing abilities (such as Assault)
14. New abilities, (such as invin/no movement or fire)
15. More GC Maps, including larger strategic galaxies and smaller tactical operations
16. Specializations for spacestations (defense platform, support stations, capital ship builder, etc)
17. Updated shaders and colors
18. Double checking build times, standardizing if not already
19. Updating and modernizing unit and planet descriptions
20. Standardizing hardpoint health of all ships
21. Adjusting cost of units in proportion to number of total units on battlefield
22. Updated planet abilities and bonuses
23. Editing map initial units
24. Planet developments, similar to tech specializations but on a planetary level (farm planets, build planets, defensive planets, etc)
25. Doctrines (similar to #24)
26. Updating and modernizing icons (SF units specifically)

28. Planet bonus ideas (cheaper units, damage or shielding bonuses, high pop, faster building of units, cheaper structures or spacestations, hidden ground forces, super credit productions, black market)
29. Grabbing free releases and potentially porting unit models/textures
30. Double check scaling of all units (space and ground)
31. Maybe, smaller number of fighters and bombers (but stronger, so each one matters similar to movies)
32. CSA buys unit plans from Empire, Rebels, and black market or hutts (may steal also or slowly research, a hybrid tech design)

35. Fixing all ships that stop and turn to target
36. New bonuses from fleet/field commanders that are specific to home planet (15% hp bonus, no retreat/25% hp bonus, increase FOW 25%, 20% shield bonus, 30% movement bonus, 15% damage bonus)

39. Republic-class SD
40. Fleet builds (multiple ships with discount for purchase or multiple fly in together)

Please be picky if you decide to use other's work, it would be a shame to ruin the quality of your current work and your art style Fx. by using lower textured models or units without turrets ect ect.. it really ruins the feeling and the immersion. The ones u used from Vong at war, while not being ugly they still stand out from your own work.
Idea for #29
Units that you could add could be the Dice's providence dreadnaught i think star wars battlefront commander ported from it from dice's star wars battlefront 2 ive think.. you could ask them.
If you take a look at the quality of the texture and model it fits in nice with your own work.

The only issue is, that it have 0 turrets on, which btw no mod have ever added yet for some strange reason... even though lore wise its shown in both the movies and clone war tv show.
Also the one i mentioned before that that wolf_2.0 from Aort made the Sabaoth destroyer if you could get permission. Could function as an CSA merc unit

He also made and awesome corrilian interdictor model, which could fit in nice to the rebel unit roster.

Then there is this wonderfull Kendosi free release model by Jero from EAW remake mod. Could function as an CSA merc unit

There is also hes Consortium Ship Pack Free release which could help with a CSA unit roster maybe.
But they would need an texture upgrade to not stand out from your current work imo

Then there is the custom made venator model JERO made also a free release. Could function as hero unit ship, to make heroes stand out ship wise. Lore wise its a fan made model tho and it would also need an upgrade texture wise to not stand out.

Then the Titan which JERO also made a free release. Wonderfull model and texture.
But the texture and art work stands out compared to your own imperial line of ships....

Anways just putting idea's out there.. what ever you chose to add id think your should be carefull that u dont just throw units in for no reason and without them having a specific role and purpose.
Btw one thing i forgot to mention on your other thread with feedback is, that the GC map would really benefit from using the same planet layout style as in Aotr, with choke points and small clusters of planets which you can hold and defend and expand trade routes.
The originale GC map imho is a gaint cluster F*** with constant none stop planet grabbing which stresses me out lol..
