A couple of friendly suggestions for this mod that I am interested in...
Right now I am testing a ton of mods as some friends and I are planning our own server. One very interesting mod, which I haven't fully tested yet is More Narcotics and Tranq Arrows Combined. In short the modder made it so you can make stronger and stronger Narcotics with proprtional crafting costs so you are esentially making stronger single dose narcs that can be used to make stronger tranq arrows. Much like you he had made them different colours.

Many people have asked him to make a Tranq Dart mod and add it to the combined mod, but the modder has refused.

Now I understand this is a new mod and you aren't even finished with the planned darts you want to make, but I suggest you consider making an option to do both your crafting or optionally uses his narcotics from his mod and have an option to adapt his colour scheme for the dart or yours.

The other suggestion is to see if you can make an ini file option to disable the sniper as a fair number of people, especially on pvp, would have issues with sniper tranqs at all and would keep them from using it at all since they are not a seaperate engram/blueprint (I assume) and thus can't be blocked in the server configs.

We have been needing a good variable strength dart mod for a while now and thanks for picking up the job and running with it.

Hi, thanks for the suggestions.

I am pretty new to modding Ark, but I believe In order to use his narcotics I would need the source files for his mod. If you know of a way to use an item added from one mod in another mod without the source file of the first mod, please do tell!

I may add seperate ammo for the sniper soon, I hadn't thought about this mod being used on PVP servers since I am mostly making it for my own PvE server that I play on with friends, but I will keep this in mind.

I will look into making an INI file to allow any of the items to be disabled, with multiple version of each item. This was something I had in mind from the beginniing.

I may end up adding tranq arrows to the mix as well, and possibly narcotic variants to go along with the crafting of these arrows and darts.

The problem right now is the work required for each variation of each item can get quite time consuming, especially for someone with a low amount of experience in the ark dev kit, such as myself.

If you have any suggestions on the tier levels and strengths of the narcotics let me know.

I haven't done middling myself, but in my reviewing mods for months now (my subbed mods list is pushing 350 now) there have been several mods that built off of items in other mods without it, although I am guessing that it is not commonly done for a reason.

The reason I like the model I mentioned is that it is annoying having to top up tames with thousands of torpor 40pts at a time. Creating higher torp narcs and then creating torp weapons using them is a great combo.

Also if you do that(if time=money,, I feel like I am spending yours before you even get it) it could make it so that you can make other torp weapons as most out there are too op and can't be adjusted. Either that or under a Creative Commons license, put out your narcs source so other people can use them to work with your mod and give you the credit for it.

As for suggesting strengths, vanilla narcotics are 40 so light should be 20 or 25. After that I suggest tops of multiples of 100. You are the one doing it so you should balance it how you think it should be and then make it so the users can configure it the way they want or need it. After all you will be putting your name on this so it should work first for you and then the others later.
