Balance Changes?
Thread for anything balance related.
I found a serious issue: After starting a new character, I went to do the outpost quest to get a mech. The moment I spawn in on the mech training course, the game crashes. I am going to assume that this applies to vanilla mechs in general, and I am certain that it is your mod that is breaking it due to the problem occurring immediately after I installed this mod. I do have other mods installed, but they were all present prior to this issue.
there seems to be a bug where damage sources outside of the player seems to 1-shot things, stuff like guards and the erchius mine laser cannon thing which breaks the fight and makes the quest unbeatable
I will test spawning in a mech as well the Erchius problem imediately. Thank you for telling me this!

I found the error for this and am fixing it right away!

Edit 1: Version 1.01 should fix this bug.

Can you try to replicate it now? My mech loads up.
I figured out a big reason for the crash: If a character is playing as a "Soldier" or otherwise has a constant passive effect due to their class, then the mech will cause a crash. The mechs will otherwise work.

I figured out a big reason for the crash: If a character is playing as a "Soldier" or otherwise has a constant passive effect due to their class, then the mech will cause a crash. The mechs will otherwise work.

Oh man, that's a huge help. Does your log file say anything?
When the crash occurs, it acts like the game is simply closing. I'm going to assume I will have to look for the log file manually. Speaking of, where would one find it?
Log file is in the Starbound game folder, in the storage folder. It is simply labeled starbound.log, and there will be a bunch of old ones you can disregard. However, I did replicate the problem, and the error it's giving me is awful. I'll try to figure out what's going wrong. Thanks for spotting this.
I fixed it! Should no longer crash upon entering mechs. I will update it on steam in a second.
Hmm... You did fix the issue, but only partially. The initial spawn-in with a mech no longer crashes, but exiting and re-entering the mech causes it to crash. I did more testing, and it seems to be prevalent with the Soldier class - tried with Explorer and it was fine.

Edit: Did some testing with the Rogue class, and it seems to be afflicted as well.

You're welcome. Also, just did additional testing with Wizard, and it seems to also cause a crash while holding a staff or wand to activate the passive when you re-enter a mech.
