RT Solar Flare Shield

Omschrijving
Researchable (RT Mods research tab) magnetic shield to protect colony electronics from EMI and solar flares. The device heats up considerably while engaged, so plan accordingly!

Does not require a new colony to add or remove (might throw a one-time error).

Texture by LastXsile.

Contributing new translations: create a translation mod.

It's 50W for my modlist too. Was an easy fix for me using RIMMSqol to put it back to 25000W. I don't think I have any mods that directly affect power other than VFE-power as well.

@John doe: I have a vague memory of someone else reporting something like this. Wasn't able to reproduce the issue; we'll have to go through your mod list and the logs if you want to diagnose it.

Hi, not sure if I've done something wrong, but it is working as intended - nothing is disabled during a solar flare - except it's only drawing 50W. The only power mod that I have installed in VFE - Power.

Mostly working my first try on 1.6 so far!
Was tricky hitting that power demand though mid game.
Light ball and loud speakers didn't seem to get power during flare though.

Could you make a smaller version? Like, not too technologically advanced, because then this mod wouldn't make sense. It would have the range of a lamp; any object within that range wouldn't be affected by a solar flare. It lasts the entire solar flare, and then you have to recharge it. It might cost a lot of components to compensate.

To your (ResearchTab.xml), give the tab a proper title and description, lol. I just love my game to have everything perfect, of course, remove the PlaceHolders I have already put, use it if you wish, but anyway, thanks for the great mod :Upvoter:

Maybe a very useful device where you has lot of defences use energy grid and a big raid coming when suddenly a solar flare event coming later and you has very few way to defend your colony by forces
