F-7 Spatha Starfighter

The F-7 Spatha is the premier space superiority fighter of the Terran Alliance Space Command (TASC). The F-7 is utilized to assert Alliance interplanetary and interstellar dominance, protecting trade lanes and enforcing the peace. The Spatha is often deployed in anti-piracy and counter-insurgency operations, where range, speed, and firepower are necessary. It is the most common starfighter in Alliance Starfleets and has supplanted the F-6 Falcata as the carrier fighter of choice. The Spatha's LightCruise engine enables it to traverse star systems within minutes, or across battlespaces near instantly. It's warp drive enables it to travel to other star systems with a 10 lightyear range, and a considerable warp fuel capacity enables it to make multiple warps in succession. The Spatha remains competitive with the speed of the Falcata, sacrificing some speed for considerably improved firepower and survivability. This comes at a high cost per unit, making the Spatha a powerful and versatile tool to be used with diligence.
