Helldivers II / Deep Rock Galactic inspired style PvE gamemode!

It is an NPC shooter with procedural generation that can be played either in co-op or singleplayer. Any map, any guns - exactly what you love. You spawn in via a drop pod, we randomly scatter around points of interest, supply crates and objectives around the map, and then enemies start relentlessly spawning in, requiring you to fight back using the most deadly arsenal at your disposal. Build lines of defenses, place down armies of turrets, and utilize orbital laser beams and intense shelling to clear out hundreds of NPCs out to get you!

Features 7 mission types, 4 enemy factions (Antlions, Combine, Rebels, Zombies), and 4 playable classes (Recon, Infantry, Sentinel, Engineer)

Orders / "Stratagems"
Guns aren't always enough against hordes of enemies. You may use various call-ins during the missions, such as:
  • 5 types of turrets
  • Carpet Bombing
  • Orbital Laser
  • Respawn Beacon
  • Shield Charger
  • Tesla Coil
  • Ammo Restock / First Aid Drop
  • Drivable Tanks and Dropships!
  • And many more...

Supported Weapons
We automatically calculate prices for all weapons, even those without a base, as long as they aren't wacky. Feel free to use anything!
But in particular, we made a hand-crafted support for the most popular gun bases on the workshop:
M9K, TFA, ArcCW, Arc9, FA:S 2.0, CW 2.0, Darken217's SciFi Weapons, TacRP, MW Base

Supported Maps
We have a collection of maps we recommend you to play on. A map must contain a NavMesh and a NodeGraph for it to work with Map Sweepers. Unfortunately, that's not many. Do you like this gamemode? In that case, go find a popular map without a navmesh/nodegraph and kindly ask the creator why are they so lazy!

FAQ
Q: The addon is too difficult/laggy
A: Lower the NPC soft-cap in Server Settings, or using jcms_npc_softcap convar. Also try enabling Multicore Rendering in your video settings!

Q: How to set my own playermodel?
A: You can't, and probably never will be able to, because it completely ruins the atmosphere of the addon, affects player silhouette recognition (too easy to tell who's who if your friend is Peter Griffin), takes away the ability to understand who is playing as which class, and sometimes also affects the player's hitboxes (therefore can be abused). Please use Outfitter to set up your own playermodels - this is Garry's Mod, nobody stops you from downloading more addons. It's just an unnecessary feature for Map Sweepers.

Q: Can you add more NPCs/factions?
A: Unlikely. We don't want to add extra NPCs without a good reason. But modders can.

Q: More missions?
A: Yes. In the future.

Q: More player classes?
A: Never.

Q: How do I play this?
A: It's a gamemode. Look in the bottom-right corner of the main menu. If you still spawn in sandbox after loading in, this is a gmod's bug -- you can only properly switch gamemodes while in the main menu, not in-game.

Q: I spawned in and nothing is going on!
A: Check the chat. There should be a message saying "Map has no navmesh".

Q: Things spawn underground/in inaccessible areas!
A: Most of the time, this means the map's navmesh is bad. Though there's also an error we tried to fix so many times, but couldn't, with NPCs falling through the ground. We are trying to resolve it, but no luck.

Does anyone else also sometimes respawns from beacons with just a stunstick?

I don't know if you take suggestions but, i find the shop to be a bit overpowered by having access to every single weapons making the player only choose the best ones. I wonder if you guys would concider making them only have a handful selection of random weapons players have installed (like 5 or so) .

The crashes were caused everytime the Rebel faction was involved making Hell and Main Frame unplayable. However, getting off the 64 bits branch did fix it.

Try reducing the npc softcap. Would also still be worth checking if any of your mods have an impact, even if there aren't very many. Usually performance issues are caused by 1 or 2 poorly optimised mods rather than the overall quantity of them.

Barring that I can't help much. The addon is somewhat intensive, but that's just because there's usually a lot going on. A lot of work has gone into optimisation. Also worth noting that more modern/powerful hardware doesn't necessarily run gmod better than older hardware, because of the way it's optimised. e.g. being able to run complex shaders probably doesn't say much about your ability to run gmod, because they largely use different tech.

Took a more in-depth look at the map, for whatever reason the creator put a giant clip brush in the sky, which is tripping a check used to prevent navareas generated underneath the map for (almost) every outdoor area, resulting in none of them being valid locations for objectives to spawn in. I'll have to see if there's a way to discriminate between clip brushes and properly solid geometry (though this is a really weird/niche case and I don't know why the map-creator decided to do that). In the meantime just play a different map.

Try payload rebels or violence flashpoints rebels. Mainframe generation specifically has issues, I doubt it's the faction. That said mainframe shouldn't be crashing your game, if it fails to generate it should just fall-back to another mission type.

Bruh, subscribing to this mod+Modlist uninstalled a TON of my mods, including ones that arent on the workshop anymore

Somehow this gamemode challenged my PC in most painful way than minecraft with photorealistic shaders and pack of 100-150 mods. I use like 30 addons and 13 of them is maps and the rest of it some minor things + big, but not demanding weapon pack, but my game is sometimes just fucking dying. I don't know, maybe it's problem in maps? I'm not sure, but it's really frustrating.

I apologise if many peoples already reported this but, the Rebel Faction or Mainframe mission causes crashes. I have tried with my addons enabled aswell as all disabled (workshop and self made in the addon folder) and i am still unable to play a game involving the rebel faction. All the others works fine though.

I edited the navmesh and ai nodes (some of them are outside the map too) so that no part of it is out-of-bounds. The objectives and players now spawn in the house and nowhere else.
