Better Settlements: New building groups

Description
Framework for other Better Settlements mods.
Adds new building groups to game build menu: "Traders" and "Specialists"

Why Better Settlements mods?
I created those to give players more options of solving economic challenges, roleplaying their settlements, and removing some common pain points, while staying as vanilla as possible.

What exactly Better Settlements: New Building Groups mod does?
This mod adds new building groups: "traders" and "specialists". You will see those after pressing 'L' when you are inside one of your t2 or higher settlements. It is required by most of mods from Better Settlements series.

How to install?
  • Subscribe to this mod.
  • Create new world and have fun.
  • Alternatively you can add this mod to your existing save.
The guide on how to do that is here. To all my knowledge it should work fine,
but BACKUP YOUR SAVES BEFORE YOU DO THAT anyway, better safe than sorry.

How to uninstall?
Currently you CAN'T uninstall any mod that was once installed without breaking your saves that were using it. But if you want to start new world without it just unsubscribe.

Enjoy!

I don't know a thing about JSON or anything else in terms of the actual mod code or the like. So it's all Latin to me basically.

@Ranger Dimitri Yep, only mods that would add/modify buildings or food recipes could cause conflicts. So mods that add weapons, abilites, races, or change unrelated to building mechanics (like Ore Nodes Respawn) are safe to use.
FYI If you want to be 100% sure while adding more mods in the future you can always open mods you use and see what data they change, if no files overlap across all mods: your good. Core2 are vanilla files so those ones you dont need to check. Most mod files are JSON format so it should be easy even if you dont know anything about coding. Hope that helps!

I see, thank you, only other mod's I use are 'This is my Boomstick' and 'Ore Nodes Respawn'. I assume they have no conflict with your mod's and can be placed wherever relative to your own?

@Ranger Dimitri, This is way less complicated than you think. Core2 is always on top as vanilla files (this is true to all mods, not only this one). The place where you put BetterSettlements mods relevant to other mods doesn't matter unless you will get some mods that will cause conflicts (I don't recommend that, and won't solve those issues, avoid mods that change the same assets.). Only thing that matters is to put "BS: New building groups" on top of other BetterSettlement mods.

So, could you offer a bit more of a clear example list in the description for a better ease of reference for this mod relative to the dependent mods and any other's that are relevant? The image's you post of intended load order don't always work cleanly enough to describe the intended order for things to work.

I am assuming that this mod is basically at the top of the list bellow the core one's the game has as standard. And all the submod's and any other mod's go bellow it. I am just saying this for the sake of added clarity for anyone who might have some difficulty properly reading the load order image is all.

@SwiftZero Thanks for the feedback! I've checked the game files, and the vanilla `building_groups.json` still has 6 objects, so everything works fine.
TLDR: This mod just modifies that file by adding 2 extra groups, and it will only malfunction if Artur adds more building groups there. In that case, I’ll need to update it — but for now, no worries.
If you're still not sure if this mod is causing problems or not, give me some details of what is happening.

I believe this may be causing some issues with the newest update and bugging the Undead Bastion out. I am unable to confirm yet though.
