Marquee Letter Signs

Beskrivelse
Description

- This mod adds customisable "Marquee Letter Signs" and the Letters to attach to it, effectively making totally custom signs for everyone.

- There are 4 different models of the "Post" and "Roof" signs (4, 5, 6 & 7 Letters) & The "Altar Rotating Sign" that has 22 letters attachments. The signs have a lockable inventory as well.

- Altar Rotating Sign should be spawned with the Kit that spawns it at the exact coordinates for Chernarus. Just place it anywhere, it will place at the top of the antenna anyway! (It goes without saying but DO NOT use this specific kit on other maps than chernarus..)

- Post signs have an optionnal hanged man with Hide\UnHide animation. (Kits for easy placement as well)

- Roof signs are "tileable" so you can put them side by side on large enough roofs. (Kits for easy placement as well)

- Everything from the Open/Close to the Hangman to the Lock is synched perfectly, and persists through restarts. Let me know if you encounter any issues please.

- Compatible with vanilla Combination Lock, It is compatible with CodeLock by pure accident so i suggest still using the Vanilla Locks.


Important

- BOTH the Signs and the Letters MUST be in your types. (The letters were not really intended to be spawned on the map for players to loot.)

- Kits are NOT INTENDED to be placed by players, There is NO dismantle options, only ESP Tools

- The signs must be scope 2 to be saved in the database and have their attachments and cargo persist. Therefore VPP "ObjectBuilder" WILL NOT let you access them because of their scope.

- There are now Static versions of the LETTERS ONLY you can place and scale with DAYZ Editor or VPP ObjectBuilder.

- There is a repackable addon for Snow textures if you have a winter map, just install and everything will have snow on top!

- The Letters model are from "AtomStudios" on CGTrader.com ( I baked the emissive from those..)

- The "Hangman" model is from "Gamefruit" on turbosquid.com

- All of the other models are modeled, baked and imported by myself.

Yes sir ill see what i can do for smaller signs and having some static letters you could play with! But yeah they were intended to be big and be seen from far away !

I have been trying to use them for my trader zone, and they work well bar the bit where players can walk up to it and pick them up, the size of the letter and the size of the boards to place them on are too big for something I'm trying to use them for. I placed them via the dayz editor and changed the size and angle of some of the letters, if you have them as static objects like you said duplicated tho so you have one that is unable to be picked up on the server that can be placed as a static object using dayz editor and one that can be used for people it will give this mod and lot more range of use.

Well if i make them static objects then you cant pick them up and attach them to the signs themselves, kinda defeating the purpose of the mod.

Ill see what i can do, i could always duplicate all of the letters and make them static.. but you will end up with 4x26 letters in your admin tool thing🤷‍♂️

love this mod @guiasselin!! A couple of things i would suggest, make the letter static object please as I have changed the size of some of the letters and just found out when i put it on server that you can pick the letters up if placed on editor, would be cool if you could make the whole keyboard with symbols and all and again make them a static object so we can play them in editor please, love this mod tho bro and look forward to what comes of it in the future!!

Not for the moment i'm afraid 🤷‍♂️ probably not before the 3 months mark since it will be long buried under thousands of mods by then !

Having people subscribe to it helps alot with visibility of the mod on the workshop pages. I know you guys like to have the shortest mod list you can have, but for now ill take the subs and visibility if you dont mind! Countless hours invested into making this 🙃
