This collection includes all current Kyoto Municipal Subway rolling stock.

The Kyoto Municipal Subway is a rapid transit system in Kyoto, Japan. It is operated by the Kyoto City Transportation Bureau and has 2 lines. The system is composed of the north-south Karasuma Line and the east-west Tozai Line, which intersect near the center of the city. The Karasuma Line first opened in 1981 and currently has 15 stations on 13.7km of track. The Tozai Line opened to passengers in 1997 and have been gradually extended to it's current 17.5km length and 17 stations. Both lines are standard gauge and powered by 1500V DC overhead wires. Like a number of other Japanese subways, the Kyoto Subway has direct connections to above ground commuter rail lines. The Karasuma line connects with Kintetsu's Kyoto Line at it's southern terminus, with a number of services running direct between them. Keihan's Keishin Line has a connection with the Tozai Line at Misasagi Station, where the line turns south to run towards Uji City. Keihan's rolling stock enters the subway and runs west, while Kyoto Subway cars do not enter the Keishin Line. Like other Japanese cities, the Kyoto Subway is heavily complemented by an array of commuter rail from both JR and various private companies. There is no current active extension project, plans have existed for the Karasuma Line to be extended south for a significant amount of time, but has been stalled due to financial reasons. The number of users pre-pandemic was 284,000 passengers per day.

Crush capacity is used for all trains that allow standing passengers, as the design capacity of trains published by companies in Japan do not reflect actual operating conditions and are not suited for gameplay purposes. Capacity will be calculated using the following method, taking into account the seating layout and role of the train:

Urban Trains:
Long: 200% (175% for vehicles below 2.5m in width)
Semi-cross: 175%
Cross: 150%

Regional Trains & All Trams:
Long: 175% standing
Semi-cross: 175% standing
Cross: 150% standing

*Some data may be estimates if the accurate value could not be found despite thorough research, these typically includes situations such as non-distinction between normal and emergency deceleration values, or when the empty mass of a formation is given but not for individual cars.
**For types with only 1 real-world operational formation, realistic hypothetical formations are included.
