Description
This collection includes all Sendai Subway rolling stock.

The Sendai Subway is a mass transit system in Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan operated by the Sendai City Transportation Bureau. It is composed of two lines, the 14.8km Namboku Line with 17 stations, and the 13.9km Tōzai Line with 13 stations. The lines intersect at Sendai Station, which is also a transfer point for various JR conventional lines and the Tōhoku Shinkansen. Opening in 1987, the Namboku line was constructed to address increasing traffic congestion caused by rapid urbanization of Sendai and it's surroundings. Technical specifications followed the Japanese standard, with 1067mm narrow gauge tracks and commuter style vehicles. The transportation plans drawn up originally called for 6 lines to be constructed, however, no expansion of the system took place for the next two decades. The first line had drastically underperformed ridership predictions, with passenger numbers less than half of estimations, and in fact the line never reached the projected first year ridership in it's entire history. As the Namboku Line was operated at loss year after year the city lacked the funding to expand the network, with cumulative losses reaching 109 billion yen in 2007. Eventually, calls for a second line with a east-west alignment to be constructed started gaining momentum, despite signification opposition by residents citing costs and the city's unreliable projections. The election of a pro-subway mayor in 2005, and with the Namboku Line achieving profitability in 2008, the construction of the Tōzai Line was pushed ahead and subsequently opened in 2015. This line was built to international specifications with standard gauge tracks and linear motor powered light metro trains. It too fell short of projected ridership, with the city's transportation bureau falling back into the red since it's opening. Pre-pandemic figures for the whole system shows daily ridership numbers of around 250,000.

All my workshop mods feature:

-Dedicated models
-Accurate specifications*
-Multiple formations**
-Easily ported to any part of the world

Crush capacity is used for all trains that allow standing passengers, as the design capacity of trains published by companies in Japan do not reflect actual operating conditions and are not suited for gameplay purposes. Capacity will be calculated using the following method, taking into account the seating layout and role of the train:

Urban Trains:
Long: 200% (175% for vehicles below 2.5m in width)
Semi-cross: 175%
Cross: 150%

Regional Trains & All Trams:
Long: 175% standing
Semi-cross: 175% standing
Cross: 150% standing

*Some data may be estimates if the accurate value could not be found despite thorough research, these typically includes situations such as non-distinction between normal and emergency deceleration values, or when the empty mass of a formation is given but not for individual cars.
**For types with only 1 real-world operational formation, realistic hypothetical formations are included.

Any feedback/suggestions/requests are welcome, you can reach me on the game's official discord, or just leave a comment on the mod in question.
