USMC F/A-18C Hornet multirole fighter jet light aircraft, model and texture by WTigerTw. F/A-18C isa carrier-based multrole fighter jet designed in 1980's and operated by US NAVY, USMC and many other international military branches. F/A-18C is a twin-engine medium size carrier fighter, capable of doing all missions including air dominance/surface warfare/ground attack. It is initially designed to be used to support the F-14 heavy carrier air superiority fighter jet and A-6 long range ground attack aircraft, but after the cold war its advantages of duel purpose results in the further development of larger F/A-18E/F Super Hornet, which eventually replace all the F-14 and A-6/A-7 at the same time. The original version of F/A-18A~D is also being called "Legacy Hornet". Currently all US NAVY F/A-18A~D has been retired, while the larger F/A-18E/F is the back bone of the US navy strike fighter fleet.
