City World Flavour

Description
Updated to 4.0. The legacy 3.14 version of City World Flavour can be accessed here.

[3.14] City World Flavour

Features
- Want to play tall? Expand your Ecumenopolis by adding new levels deep underground. Be careful though; the deeper you go, the harder it becomes to manage your pops down there.
- New decisions to turn your Ecumenopolis into the shining jewel of the galaxy it was always meant to be.
- New flavour events to add some life and character to a bustling intergalactic metropolis
- New jobs specific to Ecumenopolis worlds.
- The ability to specialise your planet even further - create a glittering centre of galactic politics, or a gritty industrial forge world.

Compatibility
No vanilla overwrites have been made, so it should be compatible with just about anything.

This mod is savegame compatible, but if an Ecumenopolis already exists before the mod is added, some features will not work for that planet.

Planetary Diversity / Real Space Arcologies
To enable City World Flavour content for Planetary Diversity's and Real Space's Ecumenopolis types, please download the compatibility patch.

Ok I've been able to replicate that with just this mod enabled. I have absolutely no idea how they are spawning. I'm convinced PDX has found a way to break deposit spawning. I'll sort it out so they don't spawn, but this is one of the weirdest issues I've seen. The deposits are coded perfectly fine, it's so strange.

@Dunno The "Underground Zones" (+ District Slots) and the one that adds Deep Level Engineers both appeared on regular planets in my starting cluster.

The only mod I can think of that might be causing issues is PD (the regular one, not more Ecus one)?

@RoVamp Which deposits are those? It sounds like an issue with the spawn weights for the deposits themselves. I'll have a look, thanks for raising it.

@LesserHellspawn It might be related, but tbh 4.0 has so many issues it could be a totally different thing. There's meant to be a unity and a research path coming for ecus soon, but we'll see when that's ready

I seem to be having features from this mod randomly appearing on non-Ecumenopolis planets found in space. Could be a compatibility issue somewhere?

There was an unfillable jobs fix from the devs in the last patch, no idea if it's related. That aside, will you add situations for research ecus as well ?

I'm looking at a bit of a facelift for the industry path - it's a bit underwhelming compared to the others. That will probably come in the next update alongside some new events / content.

I've pushed out a fix for the persistent unfillable jobs that have emerged since 4.0. That should prevent that issue popping up anymore. If I've missed any jobs and its still happening, just drop a message here and I'll see it

As a Hivemind getting a Ecumenopolis through a relic world event my Drones working a deep engineers are taking consumer goods feels like a bug.

yeah, i agree with the other guy. picking industrial is low key just deciding to permanently debuff your own planet. even if all my Ecumenopolis does is produce alloys, i still always pick economic world because the +10% trade value will actually give you something. picking industrial is just agreeing that -10 to -25% debuff being forever on the planet is okay. it basically does the opposite of specialize it for alloys or consumer goods.

Not reporting a bug or crash, but just want to mention that the Industry Pollution Situation is very frustrating. I've been going back and forth for at least an ingame decade now and I just don't get anything good. There was one thing with the bacteria, but that was it. I just don't see the point.
