The mod worked for me after a fresh, clean re-install.. So hopefully it'll work for you too!
I have noticed some small issues with modding in a custom model like this. It seems if you want the original revolver back, you need to re-launch the game.
If you wanted the revolver to replace the model entirely, and not have to enable it in the custom stories menu, you can easily just go searching for the workshop files and replace the existing revolver files with the workshop files (Be sure to make a backup!)
Sorry for any confusion, and again let me know if this is working or you run into any issues. I want to try playing around with different model swaps, but I need to know this works properly first.
